Can a light heavyweight hit harder than heavyweight? Ray Lathon for example...

    I’ve sparred heavyweight champions, Hasim Rahman, Lamon Brewster, Samuel Peter and nobody hit me harder than Ray Lathon. (c) Montell Griffin., Best I faced.
    How do you think is it true?

    None of them knocked him out like Jones did either though I doubt Jones could knock Lewis out with one shot, doubt Griffin could have took the shot Rahman knocked Lewis out with either.

    Well, he was sparring with the heavyweights and he was actually in a real fight against Ray Lathon. They use bigger gloves and headgear when sparring. They use smaller gloves and no headgear in actual fights.

    And I doubt any of the heavyweights went into a sparring match with little Montell Griffin looking to take his head off. (LOL)

    I fondly remember toney hit harder than Byrd if that makes any sense? As Chris was not a true hw, but neither was toney lol.
