Being a loser is something you are obviously well qualified to speak about.

The difference is that Lewis underestimated Rahman and that it was one punch that changed the fight. This was a beatdown from round 1 to round 5.

Not what I saw. He came out boxing. Continued to try and box. Finally tried to slug it out after being dropped several times.

    A better analogy might be:
    Dubois as Lennox Lewis,
and Joshua as Razor Ruddock, Shannon Briggs or Gary Mason.

would you pick Ruddock/Briggs/Mason to have won rematches with Lennox??

Dubois quit the two times he got stopped. Didn't have anything to do with his chin. He made a conscious decision to go down and stay down both times.

I think AJ is mentally done. It seems like one he gets tagged hard he never recovers

AJ hasn't even mentally recovered from the Ruiz beat down.

Your premise fails in two main ways

    (1) comparing a glass jawed glass hearted flat track bully hype job like AJ to an ATG like Lennox
    (2) see (1)

I have no hope after AJs last performance, he looked like an inexperienced boxerciser having his first contact with hard sparring.

Off-balanced on every half step he takes, an inactive lead hand that he constantly drops to his pocket, the shot selection of someone who only hits pads in his training, an absolute innability to control distance, being flustered and panicking when being pressured... AJ was never a gifted fighter, he has got to have the worst boxing IQ out of any Olympic gold medalist ever.

But the AJ that showed up vs Dubois? That's a fighter that has been ruined by the instruction he's received, it's really over in my opinion. He took a years-off-his-life beating, while looking worse than he ever has.

Current AJ feels like a Frankenstein, a clump of contributions from many different trainers who have all but created an undefined mess of a fighter who doesn't even know himself anymore, nor his own strengths or weaknesses.

AJ should retire for 2-3 years, take a big George Foreman approach and relearn how to box himself to his strengths, problem is Foreman had a much more solid boxing school, wasn't weighted down by these boxercise concepts that AJ fell victim to, and honestly, AJ is a mental midget compared to big George.

I don't see AJ beating any of the top 15 HWs right now, specially after they've seen his current state, much less the guy who had him breakdancing in the middle of the ring

What people don't see is behind the scenes AJ getting smoked by young hungry lions who aren't chinny protected bums and are all 1,2 even 3 steps below Dubious.

Any live dog will give AJ fits

Imagine what Bakole would do to him.

Daniel beats him again. AJ is sticking with Davidson, can't see much improvement

Joshua has gone through trainers like underwear the past couple of years. It would take a magician to make any real difference at this stage and there is no guarantee Joshua would listen anyway.
