Fury is not a great fighter. Wlad losing to him in one of the world HW title fights in history is only confirmation of how much he had slipped. This is the same guy that needed a gift decision to beat John McDermott and came perilously close to being stopped early by career 190 pounder Cunningham. I expect Joshua to do a demolition job on klitschko's corpse.
Im shocked you havent used Klitchko being an all time great card yet ? lol Your biased Joshua views severely muck up any credible points you make ,the fact is Hearns opposition picking is why Joshua has developed and is steadily on track to why hes fighting and more than capable of winning here . You simply fail to see the minor improvements of not just fluidity but ring smarts that has happened fight to fight but you wouldn't see that bc you are to busy with illogical points of guys Joshua didnt fight which is moot considering who were actually the better options from fight to fight. Well it doesnt matter you are going to see how completely wrong you are Apr. 29th .
Which is worse ? Beating John McDermott in a close fight after he only had 7 professional wins , then obliterating him in a rematch in his 11th fight. Or .. Wlad being knocked out by Journeyman Purrity when he was a 24 fight professional and WBC intercontinental Champion? Yeah , thought so.
You thought so? Well thats just it you dont think, Purity was getting mugged in the Wlad fight ,losing every rnd until Wlad wasted to many punches and tired out .Purity did not k.o him . Ironically had Wlad fought like that against Fury he would have won by the 6th rnd ,Furys chin would never had held up and he would have been in a crouched ball like position in rnd 12 but that what he would look like the entire time with aggressive Wlad. Purity would probably be a top 3 opponent if he was on Furys resume ,Wlad would have crushed Purity had he picked his shots .
So you look at a fight where Wlad gets stopped against a no skilled , small, come forward face first , slow , human punch bag ....and conclude that is the version of Wlads that beats Fury?? lolololol.. Don't ever bet money on boxing son.
Thanks for your reply, despite some of your ill-informed observations. I am not biased against AJ, far from it. The problem is you are so blinded by his potential - which is indeed great - that you simply cannot see past the flaws in: a) his resume and b) potentially his skill-set - which for the reasons I have outlined has not been full tested. Now, it is entirely possible both a) and b) will be answered by a victory (or even an honourable defeat) against Wlad. But until we see him deal with someone capable and willing to take the fight to him with the tools needed to do the job, we simply do not know if his undoubted potential will be reflected in his performances and results. Have Martin, Molina, Breazeale or Whyte really been good enough to set these challenges? No. Is Wlad, yes. All I'm doing is introducing perspective to the debate but you are more convinced by what you've seen so far. That's fine, assess AJ based on his first 18 fights if you so wish. But I want more evidence before reaching an educated and intelligent conclusion. It might be an age thing. I have a few more miles on the clock than you and have seen plenty of boxers flatter to deceive, enough to know that potential can be derailed by reality. It's happened before and it will happen again. Will it happen with AJ? Only time - and a genuine challenge - will tell. So I agree, get back to me after April.
Only ko'd proper by the great Vitali, and his resume is a who's who of his era. None of them knocked him out, except the great Vitali.
Stopped on cuts.. Vit didn't come close to stopping him.. So would you agree the Great Lewis was the only Great to knock out Vitali something 'proper'? You claimed a cut stoppage against Purrity was a 'proper' KO win for Vit , so i can only assume that you agree Great Lewis knocked out Vitali in 6 rounds when he was years past his prime.
