Can all those that say Joe Calzaghe beat a game Roy Jones just admit

The people that think a prime Cal does that to a prime Roy are right up there with the people that think a prime Roy would KO Cal. Both equally annoying.

 

I've been watching boxing 12 years since roy was a middleweight.
I've watched joe since 2000 when i could watch his fights. I'm not saying joe beat a prime roy. no! But if you're suggesting that joe would've been destroyed by rjj in his prime then you need to assess
your knowledge a bit sir.

 

This is basically what I expected to happen minus the knockdown. Roy has been a spent force for 5 years and that's all there is to it. Props to Calzaghe for doing the job.

 

Stick to the facts. One is 36, the other 39. Pretty even. Jones wasn't even close. PEriod. I was hoping Jones could beat him up. But I knew it was going to be very hard. What would have happen 10 years ago???? You will never know. You can NOT use your imagination as a valid argument. Who knows??? May be Jones could have KO Calzaghe. But may be not. May be 10 years ago could have been worst for Roy. Just accept the defeat. The fight was tonight. Not 10 years ago. STOP WHINNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is exactly correct.

I imagine that Calzaghe wins 10 years ago but who can say.

The three top Euro fighters never came to the US and Hopkins, RJJ and the rest never went to Europe in their prime.

All we know now is an old Calzaghe beat them all.
