Solis does have a very solid Chin. He fought ( 3 times ) one of the hardest HV punchers of all times, the legendary Cuban big man Felix Savon ( who KO'ed 98% of his opponents ) and Solis beat him twice, never got stopped! That shows a really tough chin...

I agree with you, even if Solis gets in shape and manages to defeat Vitaly he first should fight at least 2 solid HV contenders above his previous opponent's level. That way, he can actually increase his experience, skills and technical level at a higher level. But sadly to say, it's very possible that Solis will fight Vitaly soon even without him fighting first any real solid contenders. Solis ( even weighing 270lbs ) is very capable of not only beating Vitaly but actually knocking him out. All the robot does is throw jabs and straight rights, no uppercuts, no hooks and no combinations and is very slow...

Only time will tell if Solis will ever get in shape, but as someone here said earlier, Solis can actually win it all just as he is right now, but many of you see that as an impossibility because of his weight. I sure don't, I believe Solis will surprise all of you...

Quote: Vitali would manhandle Solis, who while having skills is a fat tub of goo. The best version of Solis, in shape, still would't be able to deal with Vitali.

I totally disagree with you! Vitaly is slow, old and very predictable. Solis is much faster, much younger, was way better amateur, has a very solid chin and also has very strong punching power ( just ask Monte Barrett )...

My main problem with Solis, like everyone else's is his conditioning/physique.

The guy needs to come in around the 230 mark.

But i will say this he stopped Barrett in better and quicker fashion than Haye did, albeit a year on.

No idea. The last time Solis was in shape he was an amateur, and that's a different game.

Very true! If Kevin Johnson would have ( gotten the balls ) to actually step up to the robot and actually fight him, I am sure maybe he would have done quite some damage but Kevin threw it all out the window.

Now, if Solis steps up and fights the robot without being scared ( like Kevin ) then I believe that Solis can do a lot of damage!

Solis is not Peter, Gomez nor Arreola. He is far more skilled, and was far more amateur accomplished than Peter, Gomez and Arreola all combined! I agree that Vitaly is kinda akward to hit clean but Solis I believe the only man capable of handling him due to his incredible amateur pedigree, punching power, combos and skills. Of course, Solis needs to shed at least 20lbs for him to get even faster...

Solis doesn't look 270 though, you look at him. And than look at Sam Peter, you'd think Sam was heavier...

Solis' fights are fishy. And 250 is far too heavy for a guy not much over six feet. He seems to gain 5 pounds or so for every fight. Vitaly might actually do real damage to him. I do not ever want to see that happen, but if he could get down to 220, then I would really like to see this fight.

The only time i see your name is when you're slagging David Haye off.
What is it with you and Haye?
Don't you like boxers who talk their fight up?
How about doing a bit of research on your opponent and finding possible faults and telling the whole world about them? Is that not using your brain to play mind games? I honestly think Haye has played a blinder so far.
If he fought any Klitschko next week he would have the country behind him.
FARMBOXER. who is your man? The one you will defend?:think

No, Unless his opponent can "Punch" or his last name is Klit...
Don't expect Vitali to lose anytime soon.
(Only way Vitali will EVER! lose again is flat on his back)
