i dont know, Pacquiao doesnt usually stand in one place to let an inside guy tie him up and maul him inside I suppose if Manny used no footwork then maybe
Easy...Pacquiao does good against fighters who are mostly stationary or need to get set in order to throw anything meaningful...But against fighters who move and punch, Pac has no answer for. JCC would be making Pac miss wildly and countering with bone crushing punches.
I think it's safe to say, that Pac would be fighting Chavez' and Armstrong's fight, not the other way around...
he said a chavez or armstrong type not literally those guys if he fought those guys then i think hed be in trouble but i dont see current pressure guys beating him i mean pressure guys like Cotto and Hatton and Margarito couldnt do it
I haven't seen a guy like them in a long time....The last time I saw anyone resemble Chavez was Castillo, JCC's old sparring partner, and imo, he wasn't half as talented.
iono, theyre gonna take alot of punishment trying to get inside. pac loves that ****. they better have good head movement and chin.
rather a counter-puncher, Manny has alot of problems with fighters with a counterpunching style and a good defence that's why Manny-Floyd wasn't and probably will never be made
The best infighters we've seen can definitely beat Pacquiao. I think Pacquiao can give virtually anyone a good fight, but there are definitely skilled aggressors that can exploit his weaknesses.
No. Pac's combination and footspeed makes it incredibly hard. Basically as they move in, Pac lands however many punches, then jumps back, rinse and repeat. Guys who move away from him have much more success, cos instead of Pac jumping back, he has to lunge forward making him susceptible to counters. So as crazy as it sounds, I think he beats Chavez/Armstrong. Styles makes fights, their all ATG's but Pac has a huge style advantage.
Hatton is a good inside fighter and he couldn't get in close enough impose his style. Manny has very quick feet and guy like Chavez would have a hard time getting close. We've seen that Pac's weakness is moving forward against good defensive fighters, not moving backwards against aggressive fighters. He would feast on anyone who comes at him.
