I think its possible. Not sure if anybody has seen Andre's brother Anthony fight but he's quite impressive. He's not quite the slick tactician his brother Andre is but has the same superb sense of distance and timing. A real joy to watch:thumbsup Also he's 19-0 (16KO). I believe he's promoted by Gary Shaw, not sure though. I personally wouldnt mind seeing Anthony fight another personal favorite of mine: George Groves. It would be an epic fight in the UK.
Who knows if Anthony can really get his career going though. First he had cancer, then he got shot by the police, and it's been slow going since then. And Andre's clearly more talented than Anthony to begin with.
Wow really? I was impartial at the beginning of the S6, and now its clear that Ward is nothing but an overhyped clown with a very good promoter. Even non boxing fans I've turned on to the tourney have said "Whats with Ward running at the other guy with his head down?" I respond "Um thats just his thing?" Andre Dirrell= Pernell Whitaker + Roy Jones Jr. Andre Ward= Hopkins + Billy Goat Gruff Theres just been Al Bersteins bull**** hype and clowns on here that somehow think Ward is on Dirrells level. However the purist and unbiased observer will tell you that Ward is nothing more than a Dirrell wannabe or a "poor mans" Dirrell. This will make it 2 overhyped fighters exposed in 2 fights...I'm giddy with anticipation:yep
After chatting with him recently, he's not really sure. It depends on whos left at 168. But he's mentioned he has unfinished business with Froch and Abraham. More than anything he wants to avenge the "loss" to Froch.
What? Mr. "Pernell Whitaker & Roy Jones" Dirrel struggled with no-defence Carl Froch, and looked like he was going to get knocked out against Arthur Abraham. At the same time, Andre Ward convinvingly beat the consensus best super-middlewight and super-six favourite in Mikkell Kessler, then went on to beat Allan Green for every single second of every single round. Dirrell is a very talented individual, but he lacks discipline and hasn't exactly been convincing in his last 2 fights. On the other hand Ward has shown his talent and discipline in his two convincing wins. That is why he is the super six favourite and best super middleweight in the eyes of many, and why Dirrell is not. Ward shows why he is so good with his convincing performances, Dirrell does not - as shown in his struggle with Froch, and his gassing and vulnerability shown in the Abraham fight. Both are very skilled. But Ward has clearly shown he is the better fighter.
Yeah I can see why he could be tempted into staying at 168lbs...depending on how both he and Froch get on in their next bouts, the rematch could be very interesting.
No wait... :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Dirrell boxes circles around Ward. The 'loss' against Froch was a dubious hometown decision and he beat the ears off Abraham.
Andre Direll didn't show anything that proves he is the best at SM. He clearly is very talented, extreme hands speed with cougar like reflexes, but he lacks the warrior mentality. He needs more guts and hearth. He didn't impress with Froch and he needed to fake in order to get a win against Abraham. He couldn't finish the fight on his feets. Ward and Bute can beat Direll. Even Abraham and Froch might have a chance to beat him in a rematch. So, I'm not sold yet on Direll. He needs to clearly win a fight against an elite without any controversy to get my respect.
yea guy, you're right. It's the world thats so wrong.:hi: Where did we find this guy. Really knows jack ****:-( I guess just throw him on the rest of the pile.
Froch=exposed at the hands of the Matrix, will be again in the final Abraham=exposed at the hands of The Matrix Ward=soon to be exposed at the hands of the Matrix, then will be beaten by Froch(ousted)
