yeah. and despite dawson's experience, he's still not very disciplined. he disappears for rounds at a time sometimes. ward is about as disciplined as they get. a lot of people don't like how ward fights but he is very effective and very disciplined. now throw in the fact that were at ward's weight....

i havent taken the time to read up on it...but drozzy was saying he read that dawson's people don't like the idea of chad going down to 168.

He will defeat Chad. Chad is not a natural fighter. He lacks the instincts and mental fortitude Ward has.

Scully says Dawson comes into camp weighing around 182lbs. It's possible for Dawson to make 168, but will he be at 100%? I doubt it because he still has to shed 7lbs. Of course only Dawson knows his body, so we'll see. I think Ward should move up since he used to fight at LHW in the past.

The reason why I think he really wants it at 168 is so that he doesn't get stripped by the WBC, who would (as announced recently) sanction a fight between their #2 and #3 for the vacant title if Ward were to go up a division (in which case he'd be Champion in Recess).

Dawson has the pop to hurt anyone. Against Hopkins Dawson would go all out on his combinations and there were times where Hopkins had to tackle Dawson just to stop his momentum. You can tell Hopkins was hurt because of all the bruises on his face.

Of course if Dawson is weight drained at 168lbs, he won't be hurting anyone.

I got Ward winning by getting past that jab to swarm him. Chad is lacking intensity and won't be able to handle being swarmed.

The interesting part is both of these guys are converts. Ward is left handed using the orthodox stance. Chad is right handed in the southpaw stance.

I don't know if Shaw talks to Scully. Like, at all. Scully sounded concerned when asked by the Scene if going down to 168 was a good thing. Shaw just told Chad to mention Ward in the post-fight interview, as tweeted by...... Ward.

I now have a feeling this could be at 170-172 catchweight for some bogus WBC Diamond belt that applies to both divisions.

Ward is a damn good fighter if you ask me. Dawson is nothing special. He also has a glass jaw. Dawson damn near let Adamek take him out late in that fight.
