Im probably in the minority here - but I dont agree the first fight was a totally dominant win for Linares. Crolla was definitely beaten - but he was in the fight all the way IMO. A relatively small improvement by Crolla and/or a small deterioration by Linares could see a reversal of the first fight. Wouldnt totally shock me to be honest.
But - and its a big but - it was hugely worrying how easily Linares could hurt Ant to the body. If Ants 'pet ref' hadnt effectively banned Linares from body-punching......

Linares is chinny, but far superior fighter to crolla, crolla will try to grind him down again in typical gallagher style, but will be far behind on the scorecards, and probably will be cut up and hurt.

Linares is a great fighter and one you cany fail to appreciate no matter where he's from. Very pleasing to watch

Crolla not on his level I'm afraid. Same again

I don't think so. Linares hands are too quick and he gets the better of the exchanges.

Want Crolla to win but it was clear from the first fight he was not at the same level. Hope he steps up and wins though.

Linares hand speed gave ant loads of trouble last time, he was simply too fast for him. Theres very little ant can do about the speed of linares hands but what he can do is up the workrate from the 1st bell. He was obsessed with the body punching as well in the 1st fight. We all know ants good going to the body but linares was on to his tactics pretty early but ant never noticed this and so didnt change this he just kept trying to sjoot the body shots in when he should of veen going upstairs more.
Of course id like to see ant win but boxings about levels and jorge linares is a level above im afraid. But you never know, ant is definatly in with a shout.

Some fighters have a great style . Linares is one of them. The way he throws punches and his posture. Much like George Groves. He throws great combinations and really is pleasing to the eye.

Froch has an ugly style like an ape throwing coconuts about. Not that it matters he still battered Groves .

Crolla has gotta try and make him miss and throw a few shots instead of the single jabs, he can't let Linares just fire his combinations off and try and soak it up in the hope that Linares's tank empties. That seemed to be the tactics from the first fight & they didn't work

Linares is the technically superior fighter but I've got a funny feeling Crolla might pull off a shock here. Might be a trilogy in this.
