Can any fighter outfight a prime Duran?

you can laugh but where are all the great fighters Duran beat? If you look at the resume it is obvious his career is overrated.

 

Marco Antonio Barrera gets dismantled, destroyed by any top 10 Welterweight at the age of 37.

Duran was supposed to get dismantled, destroyed by the reigning Middleweight champion at age 37...instead he outfought him to a decision.

Some people really missed the boat on that one, the ones who are saying silly **** like, "Iran Barkley wasn't a great fighter".

Barkley was not a great fighter. If he was then Kalambay and Nunn and Benn and all the other guys to easily beat him were great also. 37 was not that old. The Barkley win is one of the greatest overrated fights of all time. I knew the day they signed it that Duran would win that fight. Stylewise it was perfect for him. Barkley was an ESPN fighter before he fought Hearns.

 

Duran always gets favoured to beat guys like pryor, cervantes, or any other great fighter from that era outside of the fab 4. He lost to de jesus, i dont care what excuse people come up with, he was a beatable fighter. His lightweight title run was pretty weak compared to the guys that Carlos Ortiz had to fight. Duran is an overrated fighter, he beats 1 atg and now he's top 5 all time, **** that ****. I think the only reason people like him so much is cuz he's a lighter skinned fighter.

I think SRR, Chavez and Armstrong would give him the best run. He's just such a great inside fighter. SRR i pick because of his great speed and power, decent inside game and because he's a natural welter. Duran is far more skilled inside, but maybe his Sugar's physicality would narrow the difference. I wouldn't back big money on any to come out on top.

My credibility is fine. I knew Duran would beat Barkley. Barkley is not a great fighter and was very ordinary and not fast. Duran beating him was not that great. He did not beat any of the guys who were considered fast and complete at the time like Frank Tate or Thomas Hearns or Michael Nunn, and we saw what happened when he fought Hearns 5 years earlier.
