Calling Ryan pfp is hands-down the craziest take I have ever heard from you. I can't believe so many people here agreed.
Based off how they both moving probably a lot of ppl, Tank for me is behind Haney, loma,Martin, shakur at a minimum at least Tank got the JV title at 135 and Ryan I wouldn’t have ranked at all who tf has he beaten?
Because, it's about the future. Let's face it, AJ.and Fury are pretty much finished. How many fights do Wilder and Usyk have left between them? 2? Canelo has been fighting European boy models exclusively now for years... Jake Paul finally hit his brick wall... The ghosts of Pacquiao and Mayweather have long since faded away, and Joy Joyce continues to be black listed... What does that leave for the sport? What are we supposed to tell our kids? Tank vs Ryan represents the future! These two young men have put their differences aside and agreed to terms while the rest of the sport continues to fleece the fans with these low budget cards like TC vs Avarresian. People are sick of it. They want to see the young lions of the division locking horns again (not Jeff Horn of course). Both of these gentlemens are class acts as well. It is a breath of fresh air, something we have all waited a long time for
tank vs Ryan is a LOW Budget card… who exactly has Ryan beat that’s as good as even David avaneshin? This fight is just a money grab between 2 guys who have both been actively avoiding the best.. at least with the guys you named they have a history behind them to have a ego… tank and Ryan get talked about like killers and ain’t did Jack sh!t in the sport
What exactly do you think I meant by that? Because that is clarified later in the very same post you quoted. If you assumed I meant top 15 or 10 or anything near that it just means you didn't read the whole thing.
they have a massed many followers on social media - which is the new way. See the meteoric rise of Jake Paul who will likely make more then both of these guys Ryan or Tank coming off a loss promoting his own fights. that’s why. Will you be “boycotting “ this fight or not watching it I’m guessing?
I don't want to be too argumentative, but even top 40 is nuts. He only has wins over Fortuna and Luke Campbell. At 108 alone Ken Shiro, Hiroto Kyoguchi, Masamichi Yabuki, Jonathon Gonzalez, Hekkie Buddler and Elwin Soto have better resumes.
Eh, I personally haven't made a present day p4p top 50 in...years, and probably won't bother to do so now, but I'm not sure 40 is really nuts tbh. He's listed #53 pound for pound on BoxRec with many inferior guys ahead of him. Granted there might be superior guys below him, because their computerized ranking system is a mess, but 40ish or 50ish doesn't feel that wrong. Bear in mind Davis is universally 15-20ish (Ring puts him at #11, I think?) and many see this fight even. His last run of 5 (Duno, Fonseca, Campbell, Tagoe and Fortuna) isn't the stuff of legend but it's all solid B- through B+ work and if you pluck a guy from anyone's p4p list ranked #40 and look at their resume it honestly probably isn't that much stronger.
Usyk is listed 28 on Boxrec. Masamichi Yabuki, Knockout Freshmart, Magsayo, Panya, Castano, Warrington, Kosei Tanaka are just a quick glane of some way, way, way better people (at least by career so far) than Ryan who are behind him/
I finger-flubbed and hit "post reply" mid sentence on my phone and have been editing in since. You caught the quick second draft there (it's complete now)
Hell nah maybe stream the replay, and the funny thing is Jake Paul famous from Disney channel, and if REAL boxers was making the fights they were supposed to make he wouldn’t be popular at all…. The only reason there is a Jake Paul is because of guys like tank and Ryan who ain’t fighting nobody stalling out the sport
your wrong About tank & Ryan These guys are leading the way by both taking this particular fight. (Spence vs Crawford TBA likely announced ringside at the tank vs Ryan fight) ryan & Tank are both good fighters In the lightweight division It’s 1-Hanie 2-Loma 3-Tank 4-Shakur Stevenson 5-Ryan you Can debate what pecking order They’re in but what not up for debate is that Ryan & Tank are top 5 lightweights. (This is an accurate statement) & after they fight each other they will be a clear #2 behind the winner of Hanie vs Loma.
