Can anybody explain the tank vs Ryan hype?

Well first of all Martin Rivera was last year.
And where was Rovera a top 10 fighter?Based on what?
I think we can all agree the TBRB are the best rankings around and you can easily check their archives before and after that fight and you wont find Rivera in there.Correctly so.
Correct Garcia’s only ranked win is Campbell and it wasnt exsctly yesterday but since the he has beaten former junior lightweight contender Fortuna even if at junior welter ehich is still decent and hasnt lost a fight to lose ranking.
Thereis a reason both the Ring and TRBR rank Garcia over Martin and I think they know more than us.
Regardless even if you rank Martin higher Garcia is still top 10 ranked thus not a prospect.
And I dont even rate him that much.

 

What part of this don't you understand? It's about the matchup. Fights are not made by the best fighting the best as in the past. Now, you can yap about who Davis has or hasn't fought but the fact remains that the man is a knockout artist and that's what people wanna see. Same with Ryan. The man knocks people out. No matter what his record is. People are buying hype. Why you think Jake Paul is making money. This is a big money fight. You got a fighter that reminds people of Mike Tyson and one that reminds people of De La Hoya. This is a money maker. That's the reason it's getting hyped. Duh!

 

2 undefeated, young, world class boxers squaring off. Both are popular with huge followings and are taking full advantage that to promote their fight that has been building up for years. Both talk trash and deliver devastating knockouts. What is it you're not understanding? Sure they don't have the most amazing resumes but this a step in the right direction for basically all parties involved. The boxing world should be happy they're willing to put their 0 on the line unlike a lot of these guys who keep barking with no bite.

 

Your question was, What was the hype. Well, that's the hype, whether you like it or not. It might not be the fight that should happen with those two but it is an interesting and most likely a good fight. Ali made more money than the champion when he wasn't the champion in his era. Whenever there is large amounts of money to be made. People gon make it happen. By the way, I am not a fan, I am a boxing connoisseur.

 

The best do not fight the best anymore. So it is a good fight. It is not a good fight if we compare it with crawford vs spencer or fury vs usyk but, since this kind of fights doesnt happen anymore... tank vs ryan is a good fight that is worth to be hyped, I guess.

 

Both up and coming Fighters and this would be their biggest test

 

The fight next week is hard to pick.. Something tells me that Garcia might be stopped unexpectedly. He is being a little rushed. I don't think he has the talent of a Delahoya of 1992..
