While everyone was calling Floyd a cherry picker, it really turned out to be GG

well lets think about this logically. canelo started a welter as a kid, moved up to jr middle as he matured, where ggg could have fought him if he was a man of his word. heres his word for reference
    This content is protected

so i could say it was ggg who waited canelo out, till he could get him at g's peak weight.
now continuing with the logic. canelo then jumps up 2 divisions, to do what ggg only talked about being willing to do. then he unifies another division in a year. and throughout the whole time canelo was doing what g talked about doing, what was g actually doing?
so after looking at all that, what would be the logical conclusion about who is really about their business. not the emotional conclusion, the logical one.

dude what does Arturo Gatti have to do with Canelo? And yeah I was like I said when he refused to duck trout that made me a fan and then he took on Lara afterwards when nobody wanted to fight Lara and made me a even bigger fan… and my guy how is it marketing when Canelo did exactly what he said he would and GGG didn’t? One guy was a promotional hypejob the other was about business.. GGg said 154-68 Canelo said cool I’m not at 160 yet if you want to fight at 157 we can fight now if you want 160 you have to wait.. GGg thought he was a star so he had to wait and after getting whooped twice Canelo moved up and unified another division meanwhile GGG can’t fight nobody worth anything in his own division… ppl made excuse for GGG to not fight Ward saying he don’t have to move up meanwhile Canelo moved up fought GGg moved up again fought smith moved up again and fought Kovalev.. it’s not hard to see who was being real and who wasn’t

GGG said he would fight anybody from 154-168. That was not true. His record shows that he was unwilling. The record also shows Canelo wanted no parts of a prime GGG at 160 pounds.

problem with that, is that canelo did eventually fight him at 160. and did eventually beat him. and ggg kept chasing him after that, all the while his fans saying he would finally beat canelo. after saying what you just said, that canelo had waited till he was past it. but not so past it that they though g couldnt still win. do you see the contradiction in the 2 narratives his fans need to push for their world to make sense?

Not a big fan of GGG nor his delusional fanbase. But I know what I saw. Yes that included their actual fights. But Canelo did not fight a prime Golovkin.

Canelo isn’t afraid to fight anyone. Maybe afraid to fight Bivol at 168 because he will lose all his belts but I wouldn’t say he’s afraid. He’s smart to avoid a superior boxer like Bivol.

Canelo has the judges in his pocket and needs to be dominated to lose a close or split decision. That would give anyone confidence. He’s a good fighter and I give him credit. He brings a lot of money and attention to the sport.

See, even I have positive things to say about Ginger Balls. Call me Mr. positive.

and ggg didnt fight a peak canelo. neither did floyd, for that matter. since canelo is at 168 in his peak years, then ggg caught him in development still. or do the fights only count when they are fought at g's best weight, during his best years?

Yeah obviously its not everybody and is a generalization. I was thinking more along the lines of that akhi guy on YT who is basically an unpaid PBC affiliate with how he promotes/disses fighters. Sadly boxing is tribal/racial even though the Top 5 is a mix...Inoue, Usyk, Canelo, Crawford, Fury...pretty awesome if you ask me.

Am def confused how some of black culture supports Tank while ignoring and even joking on Crawford. Is it because Floyd annointed Spence? For whatever reason black fighters seemed pressured to be the "bad boy" when, in reality, the best black fighters arent bad boys. Spence is not a bad boy neither is Bud neither is Shakur and neither is Devin.

Same goes for white Euro fans in regards to Fury. He's beaten everyone (save for Usyk) and is an absolute character...plus his style is fan friendly. Yet there's a solid portion of whites that dislike Fury. Maybe it was the PED scandal? IDK

Any fighter can be criticized and I agree w you that Canelo gets harshly viewed. People hating all over Ryder as an opponent...he's literally a mandatory. Canelo is coming off fighting Bivol, Plant, BJS, and Smith (as well as Yildrim - another mandatory). That's 4 undefeated champion caliber opponents. Guy has surgery and is taking a mandatory as a tune-up and its criticism time? Yeesh...

Arturo Gatti was taking on all challenges. Mickey Ward was taking on all challenges. I seriously doubt you were fans of theirs. Floyd said was going for the ko every fight. He didn’t do it. It’s the same premise. Failure to deliver. Boxers are all about marketing. We saw it for over a month with Benavidez and Plant. We see it every fight from every fighter.

Because he's jumping through hoops to avoid fighting him and won't even bring up his name?

How by asking him to fight somebody good? That doesn’t seem unreasonable I mean if I’m the # 1 fighter and got there by knocking off the former #1 & #2, & #3, &, #7 and now you coming up but haven’t fought anybody in the top 10.. what is the issue with saying hey fight somebody good and earn a shot?

bro if you trying to disrespect Gatti then I’m not with that, Arturo was a entertains all action fighter and I got nothing but respect for what he did in boxing was a solid contender and champion in his day.
And when you fight elite fighter’s it usually doesn’t end in a knock out sonfloyd not being able to knock out Mosley or Castillo isn’t the same as plant and Benavidez flat out not really fighting anybody good until each other for the most part..

Benavidez wasn't some kid on the way up; he was already a two-time champ who never lost the belt in the ring. Canelo side-stepped him to pursue fights that no one was really asking for. How are you talking about cruiserweight when you haven't even finished up business at 168?

Now he's stuck fighting Bivol again at 175 and we have to pretend to be interested, when the Benavidez fight made the most sense from the very beginning.
