    Can't disagree with this.
GGG, Cotto, Callum Smith, BJS, Plant, Jacobs, Bivol, Kova and more.
Nobody has that resume and I doubt anyone will soon except Usyk.
Him and his team were smart regading GGG, but he hasn't flat out ducked anyone.

Manny Pacquiao fought at 147 eventually but at the time of the Barrera fight how big was he? Canelo gets flack from GGG fans for not immediately doing what GGG said he was going to do. GGG has had chances to call guys bluff and didn’t that’s on him

It's a waste of time to even discuss this. Anyone claiming Canelo is afraid of anyone is ignorant. The "waiting out Golovkin" claim is even more idiotic. 2015 or really 2016 was the earliest you could have honestly put any pressure on Canelo to fight GGG. He fought him in 2017 ffs. It's nowhere near a May/Pac or Spence/Crawford 5-7 year wait. And those MFers were in the same damn division the whole time.
I am not a Canelo fan but I don't dislike him either. People are haters. They love an underdog...until that underdog gets hype, then they hate him. I remember a lot of Mayweather fans talking about how garbage Canelo was before Floyd fought him, and how Pacquiao fans said Floyd was just scared of him but Pac was too small to fight him.

Canelo's resume (whether you think he won or lost any of those fights or not) is top notch. He is great for the sport. Guys like Andrade, the Charlos, Andre Ward, Golovkin are not. Some of those because of character and some because they are boring.

PBC dont really work w anyone. Bud called out Danny Garcia in 2019 when Danny wanted rematches w Porter and Thurman and passed on $3.5M (plus PPV) to instead fight Granados for $1M flat.

Bud tried fighting Thurman who wanted more money than what he got for fighting Manny so the talks never got serious.

Bud tried fighting Manny but Arum coudnt get enough money.

Bud tried fighting Spence but Haymon was lowballing him and trying to lie about numbers (refusal to disclose information). Bud said he wanted to fight in December and he reached out to Al in August. PBC slept on it till October. They were never serious. Although rumors are Spence is forcing Al's hand now. Cant wait.

GGG offered Rosado CW of 158 and offered Froch and JCC Jr fight at 168 but said Ward has to be at 164.

None of them had straps at 160 though did they. Again GGG is no saint, but if you have a chance to unify against a prime rival, why would you not do it? Unless it’s to wait til he’s no longer in his prime to have the advantage.

Mayweather, Lara, Trout, Golovkin, Jacobs, Bivol, Saunders, Plant, Smith (not long after he beat Groves), Cotto - and he’s gunning for a rematch with a guy who just dominated him in Bivol.

Critics of his record/willingness to take fights dont have a leg to stand on, and he has the best resume of any active fighter without question.

As I said before, they’re just haters and not worth the mental energy to argue with.

GGG was 33 in 2015, 35 in 2017. Two years is enough to notice a fighter ageing and GGG struggled bad against Jacobs before Canelo fought him.
It’s not ducking, it’s actually smart but for me it’s the only blemish on his career (and popping clen) fact that he vacated his strap in 2015 rather than unifying vs GGG

GGG got started late as a pro, not Canelo's fault. Rubio was Golovkin's first big win and that was at the end of 2014, so as I said, 2015 or 2016 was really the first point any legit pressure could have been put on Canelo to fight him.

Edit: when you look at Golovkin's resume you can also see why he elected not to fight Ward. As soon as Golovkin stepped up to top level, aka Danny J...poof, the brutal KOs vanish until he fought the Vanes and Rolls of the world. Ward would have badly tarnished Golovkin's reputation and they knew it would be an ugly fight where no one looked good.

Right but it was GGG whose window was closing not Canelo or Cotto. GGG was the B side draw. GGG wanted the belts. So, good boy GGG, shouldve taken the CW fight in seriousness. Canelo refused to budge and GGG wound up waiting an extra year which is karma tbh.

GGG couldve beaten Canelo and possibly got to fight Cotto afterward at the same CW. Those wouldve been good notches on the belt. Instead his Top 5 is Danny Jacobs, Dervenchenko, Matt Murray, David Lemiuex, and Canelo 1. A solid single win and a bunch of meh wins...and that's without acknowledging Jacobs shouldve gotten a rematch (6-6 fight) and Dervenchenko has unfavorable scoring...

The World Middleweight Championship is contested at 160 pounds max not 156 . That fight should never have been sanctioned .Canelo was coming in the ring fight might at 170+
I cannot believe youre trying to accuse GGG of receiving the Vegas decisions that Canelo received ROFL. No that is totally LUDICROUS!!!!!!!!. GGG really beat Canelo TWICE Austin Trout deserved at the very least a draw against Canelo . Lara beat Canelo too,

155-60 is MW. Cotto was small for the JMW division let alone 160, and Canelo was barely entering the division himself. I dont see anything wrong with the 155-156 pound CW for that fight.

Ward had no intention of fighting GGG Ward was offered a fight at 164 he refused said he wanted 168 which was not GGG's fighting weight. Knowing full well Ward himself knew he couldn't make 168 any moreLOL He was all Mouth & little else
