Can anybody name me 1 fighter that can beat Clottey in this era impressively?

What exactly is your definition of looking impressive? Mayweather won every round vs. Mitchell, put him on his ass a couple of times and knocked him out with a straight shot to the body in the sixth round. How many guys do you see knocking people out with a straight shot to the body? Against Judah, Mayweather had a little trouble for a couple of rounds but steadily broke Judah down from round 5 on. That was a pretty impressive performance. In all likelyhood, Mayweather probably would win a wide decision over Clottey.

KOTF, gotta agree this time. P Will would shut that ass out! Clottey cant hurt him and wont outwork him cause he doesnt let his hands go. How he could get one round vs PTP is a mystery to me. But for the sake of arguement id give the African 1 or 2 sympathy rounds.

I hear ya, I never liked Margo and especially Freddy. But he is right. Ya boy Clottey bitched up in that fight. I had always thought Clottey took the first 4 rounds easy. always remembered it that way...but it could have been 2-2 if you watch it.

Regardless of all that Clottey did not break his hand. And when he hurt, it mentally he lapsed and lost the fight. Shaking his hand telling everyone in press row he hurt himself. He lost that fight in his head and i think the pressure margo put on him had a lot to do with it.

 

Mayweather would most likely outbox Clottey pretty easily unless he lost a lot over the past 2 years.

 

exactly.....i guess when clottey fights, body shots don't count then cause i remember margo landing some brutal ones, and so was cotto...but according to clottey fans, he was whooopin both....
