The relationship between JDJ and Kov is over. I would be extremely surprised if they are together in his next fight.

 

After the fight they interviewed JDJ, he was giving Ward credit, admitted Kovalev was hurt and said that they lost fair and square. He isn't going to be on the team anymore.

 

I don't think JDJ likes Kovalev very much anymore. Kovalev basically said he is good for nothing aside from holding mitts, verbally lashed out at his after his loss last November, and apparently refuses to listen to his instructions or ideas on a gameplan. Sergey basically runs the show. JDJ is gone, and frankly, I wouldn't blame him for wanting to be done with him.

 

I couldn't even hear any instructions in the corner.
