Because Khan listens to the people around him and believes anything they say, it all started in my opinion with Oscar and his "blueprint" to beat Mayweather... Oscar used to bang on about Khan "The jab is the key to beat Mayweather and Amir Khan has amazing hand speed and a jab".

Now it his team, Hunter rebuilding his confidence by convincing him he has the tools to beat the best if he listens and does what he is told and never forget the delusional twitter fans who have their lips pushed firmly between his cheeks.

All that said, Khan has now convinced me he genuinely doubts himself when it comes to Brook, there is no excuse now, he don't fancy his chances and is hoping if he waits long enough Brook gets beat and then it is never happening.

 

Khans well known but credibility as a top level boxer has declined over the last few years. He needs to regain respect if he wants Floyd and by continuously taking the easiest path to make sure he doesn't lose isn't helping. Fans can see right through the clever matchmaking of low/no risk fights against tailor made opponents. He needs to take risks against fighters who fans believe have a chance of beating him, like Brook or Thurman.

 

Maybe to do with the fact he is no.1 rated WBC welterweight? Also I believe he is in the top few with the WBA too.

I think after Floyd defeats Pacquiao he will have one more fight on Mexican Independence day in September 2015 to reward his Mexican fans. He will fight for the Middleweight title against Miguel Cotto or GGG and win retiring with a record of 49-0, 49 fights, 49 wins, no mistakes, one of the greatest fighters ever. He will go down as TBE(The Best Ever) and the Pay Per View King, that will leave the magnifient Muhammed Ali as the Greatest(the Greatest of All Time), Sugar Ray Robinson pound for pound(the greatest Pound for Pound in history).

 

Outside of Mayweather, Pac, Cotto, & maybe 1 or 2 others Khan is the highest paid US based fighter. He is 1of two fighters with there own individual Showtine contracts.
He is backed by Haymon/GBP, has other international tv contracts like the sky deal etc these are the main reasons why he thinks that he may get a crack at Mayweather eventually and he hAs good reason to believe so if you actually pay attention to details on how the business works instead of crying like little girls every time he says something about Brook not being worthy etc

 

Mayweather will have a PAC rematch or face cotto for the title in his next fight. Make him another weight world champ.

khan was paid Approx $2 million US dollars from Showtime for the Alexander fight- outside of Mayweather/Pac/Alvarez/Cotto who else is getting that type of money you silly boy.
Ticket sales is irrelevant in America- it's not like England.
