Can anyone justify breaking 2 fighters based on this?

Floyd was down below hatton's armpit and hatton had his arm draped over him pushing him down. Hatton had a big history of hugging and holding to the point of being unbearable to watch so Cortez was keeping the situation under control.

What I find hilarious is that Hatton fans complain about Cortez but think that Dave Parris did an awsome job in the Tzyu fight. hatton was allowed to hit and hold, anything land below hatton's nipples was considered a low blow and he was allowed the most blatant lowblow in the history of boxing without a point deduction. The only think he didn't do was hold tzyu down so Hatton could hit him but I guess there was no need to since hatton was holding him the whole time.

    Fair enough mate !!

To be clear I never said Ricky doesnt have skills and he can display them better against certain fighters , certainly Peacock for sure:D

And of course to far better guys like Urango etc

But at a certain level he cant do that and I am sure you agree that Hatton is known for holding :good

Unless you ignored the video, I can't see how you can argue.

I gotta side with Hatton on this one.

Kostya held, used to hold and hit and sometimes threw guys around like rag dolls, he wrecked Mitchells knee in their first fite with dirty tactics

Hatton Tszyu was fought totally evenly BOTH guys doing their thing and the bending of rules was allowed neither complained before and after, and thats fine,

some refs you can do more its that simple but holding and hitting is not supposed to be allowed and thats that

I watched the vid and of course saw it live and Ricky really was a bit lost , pointing his ass out etc was silly

he blocks with his face to much for a real accurate puncher and he will always try to get inside increasing the chances of his demise with an opponent like may or pac

i agree he held a lot more at world level, but hatton was only twenty in that video and look at the skills he showed years later against paulie, who held more in that fight than hatton did in his whole career

but if you judge hatton solely in his fight against mayweather, you wouldnt eank him above club level, judge him on ability, he was without a doubt world level

I don't blame hatton. I blame the ref. If both guys are fighting dirty then both should be treated equally. The ref was 100% biased and let hatton get away with everything while stopping just short of tying Tzyu's hands behind his back

I dont disagree with any of that and I even met Hatton long before he fought Kostya

My point here is that Joe Cortez didinot influence the outcome of that fighte and I could believe Skys scoring !

I was not seeing that at all :good
