I know man. I just haven't met a hatton fan yet that will admit that Parris was biased and let hatton get away with murder in the tzyu fight yet they all cry and moan about the mayweather fight. It's like they are shocked and disgusted that there was a ref in the world that wouldn't let hatton do whatever he wanted. Do you realize that before hatton left england he was 40-0 with 17 of those fights being ref'd by either vann or parris?

 

My old sparring opartner eamonn magee fought hatton and protested against vann being the referee, look at how vann ****s magee over in the second round when he hurts hatton..

this doesnt alter the fact that cortez did not let hatton work on the inside in the early rounds.

I had absolutly no problem with Cortez breaking them up. By the time this fight came around I had grown disgusted of watching ricky fight because of all the holding. It was like watching an MMA match. Ricky had a history and Cortez made it clear he wasn't going to stand for that ****. If you want to complain about something you can complain about him not saying anything floyd about his use of the elbow but I shutter to think of the shitfest that fight would have been if ricky had just another ref letting him hug his opponent to death

 

but was ricky cheating in this early fight of his?

cortez didnt even let him get anywhere near close enough to mayweather to even attaempt inside fighting like this

He wasn't allowed to attempt the inside fighting because he couldn't figure out a way to do it without first holding mayweather. Against the fighters that you just posted he could do it because they were inferior. Against floyd with his superior footspeed ricky was lunging in and trying to hold on to give him self a shot.

 

wrong, if hatton was cheating by holding and hitting, what was mayweather doing by using a lead right then ducking below the waist and holding over and over again?

Cortez broke up those holds too. I'm not saying floyd was clean. I am saying that I am glad cortez didn't allow a hugfest. I also think that no matter what happened floyd wins that fight. If cortez was going to allow an ugly fight then Ricky was going to spend the whole time with floyd's elbow in his throat, also floyd is taller and could lean over ricky and smother him then start shortening up his hooks and uppercuts. It would have been the same result by a different method.

 

ive already said Iagree floyd wins the fight regardless , inside or outside, clean or dirty, but cortez did not allow any inside fighting at all until he realised floyd was better on the inside than hatton, strange.

btw if youve ever seen my posts, you'll know im far from a hatton lover and im actually a big mayweather fan, but I know a ****over when i see one

If I were playing devil's advocate, I'd say that it was a rough ass fight that I'd be breaking up quite often, and I'd let fighters go at it on the inside too.
