theres probably quite a few at world level, khan does have good hand speed but when has he ever been in with a properly fast fighter? surely thats the test?

Ill start by sayin i am a huge Khan hater but i have to say he has blazing hand speed with his straight shots. I would call him the fastest hands at LWW were it not for Paulie M

khan throws tight punches, but as his chin is weak, he keeps it really tight, by only throwing punches without 100 % commitment. its more armpunches.

Im not sayings he isnt fast, but compared to a fighter like pac, who puts leverage behind and commits when throwing, khan is a step behind.

Off the top of my head, Pacquiao, Zab Judah and Mayweather Jr and maybe Gamboa.

You can offset khan's speed with someone that has above average speed of their own, coupled with good lateral movement, and defense....

If you stand in front of khan or decide to take the fight to khan....you will get picked off by his hand-speed...

Dirrell, to add another. Khan is a piston puncher. Chaining together 8 jabs and straights is an illusion in handspeed. He's fast, but gets way more hype on the subject of handspeed because of his amateur style combos.

His footspeed is average, I expect it to probably improve...

I agree with San Rafael....also khan doesn't sit down on his punches now, its his way of defense...

Roach claims khan is faster then pacquiao, but when you watch their fights....its quite clear pacquiao is much faster...
