Can anyone name a fight that was stopped...

The thing IMO most people are missing is the fact that leading up to the stoppage Lee was taking some bombs with his hands down, at which point the ref was watching real close. Then Vera landed a very clean and heavy right, at which point the ref was already on his way moving in to stop it, but as he was beaking them to call it, Lee landed a shot. I was rooting for Lee whole heartedly, but he was in bad trouble, and better to stop it than let him take serious damage, that surely would have ensued had it gone on any longer at all.

 

Calzaghe-Manfredo. Manfredo wasn't even hurt.

 

He also wasn't throwing back, so it's not really analogous.

 

Lee was gettin hit with bombs no doubt, but to stop a fight when both guys r in the middle of the ring and both throwing at each other is ludacris. Is Lee wouldve gotten knocked down from that final right, then a stopppage wouldnt have ben bad, but the guy was still on his feet and trading shots.
