That got knocked out three times in his 20's? Has any other great heavyweight lost to three fighters the caliber of Ross Purity,Corey Sanders & Lamon Brewster in their 20's? No arguments just examples please.

    Floyd Patterson
    Ezzard Charles

Jack Johnson only twice, but lost (points) and drawn quite a bit more and against much worse opposition before turning 30

1 legit KO loss. 1 legitimate gassing, and 1 questionable gassing.

Has any other ATG HW ever gassed, prime Foreman comes to mind vs Ali. Any other ATG HW ever been KTFO, Lewis 2x in his prime. Tyson in his prime 1x.

By this standard Larry Holmes =Goat.

Yeah but the guys the others lost to were much better than the guys Wlad lost to, even a guy like Buster Douglas, was in his day miles ahead of those guys.

There's a flip side to the question: Has any other HW build himself back up to champion after three KO losses in his 20'ies? Only Wladimir has managed to do that. No reason always to look at the negative side. Wladimir is a legit champion, one of many fine fighters in HW history, though he reigns in a weak era.

Douglas was a RANKED CONTENDER going into his fight with Tyson, he had beaten McCall and had already fought for a world title. therefore he was not a journeyman or a bum.

Age aint really relevant. What is is the period that can be deemed prime.

Wlad lost maybe 1 prime fight and that was against brewster. Before that he was an attacking risk taking fighter who didn't have the durability to back it up.

Lewis lost in his prime to rahman.
Tyson lost in his prime to douglas.
Ali lost in his prime to frazier.
Frazier lost in his prime to foreman.
Foreman lost in his prime to ali.
Johnson lost in his prime, the names escape me but I think it was hart and jeanette.
Liston lost in his prime to ali.
Holyfield lost in his prime to bowe.
Louis lost in his prime to schmeling.

Most greats avenge prime losses or suffer unavenged prime losses to fellow greats.

Wlad's only prime loss, and even that's debatable, was to brewster. A loss he avenged.

Age don't matter. Ask moore and hopkins. Their primes were certainly not in the 20's.

Just looked. The top 15 heavyweights of all-time combined only have three KO losses in their 20's to fighters who are not in the Hall of Fame. Lewis-McCall,Dempsey-Jim Flynn & Douglas-Tyson. Way to go Wlad.
