Parker isn't half as skilled as Ortiz. Parker can't punch, can't fight on the inside, has poor efficiency, and has awful timing. Ortiz is excellent on the inside, he can punch, and Ortiz is very efficient with his footwork and his offensive output. Joshua's reach won't mean much, since Ortiz will neutralize his jab just like he did Wilder's with his excellent timing. It will come done to how well Joshua adapts when Ortiz takes away the jab and starts attacking Joshua on the inside. Wider was willing take the risk of firing his straight right while eating Ortiz's counters with the confidence that he would connect and drop Ortiz, which he did. Taking that risk allowed Wilder take some steam out of Ortiz to the point where he was able to take him out late.

Joshua like Wlad is becoming over dependent on his jab, which is something that will work against when he faces someone like Fury, who has a better jab and guys like Wilder and Ortiz will neutralize it in their own ways.

When Joshua fight Povetkin I wounder how he'll adapt to Povetkin, since I know Povetkin if he has anything left is going to neutralize Joshua's jab early.

I would favor Joshua and Povektin to beat Ortiz. Tyson Fury might beat him too

I would favor Oritz over Parker, Whyte, Miller and Bellew

Apparently they all can, just none of them feel like it, especially on PPV in sold out arenas for rediculous amounts of money, its just not their thing.

AJ counters almost every time a fighter throws a punch at him and he throws more counter combo`s than Wilder did vs Ortiz, he`s a fast combo puncher.

Joshua also misses a lot of those punches and isn't very efficient in the ring, which is why he gasses so quickly. Takam, who isn't half as skilled as Ortiz had Joshua missing combo after combo and had no problem getting inside on Joshua and even landing combos to the body. Takam's only problem was that he can't crack an egg shell.

We'll just have to see how he does against Povetkin, since Povetkin isn't a sloppy fighter like Parker, who lacks power and has horrid footwork and timing.

Also, Wilder wasn't throwing counter combos because Ortiz's footwork and timing kept putting him in range to where he could hit and Wilder couldn't. Ortiz would've killed Wilder on the inside if Wilder tried to throw combos while Ortiz was in range. Joshua was only throwing as many punches against Parker due to Parker's low boxing IQ and lack of punching power. Parker would slip Joshua's punches without thinking about his positioning and each time he slipped he was out of range to do anything. When Takam slipped Joshua's punches he always made sure to take a step forward while slipping the punch in order to be within punching range of Joshua once Joshua missed the punch.

Lol. Ortiz is garbage. Bellew would knock him into next Sunday. Even the raw Daniel Dubious destroys him. And I dread to think what Body Snatcher Whyte would do to the fat plodder

Good point. The best win of this guy everybody allegedly fears is a guy who took up boxing two years prior

Ortiz is a very dominant fighter he doesnt give up rounds.

You have to stuff that guy to have the best chance , Wilder got by ( not including laughable scorecards) bc he has a power shot.

    1. Joshua
    2. Joyce
    3. Whyte

Are your best bets in that order right now ,Fury needs 2 more fights with the Ortiz style.

It wasn't his engine that cost him the fight but rather his chin. However, I do think that the fight was prematurely stopped.

The problem with grandpa Ortiz, is apart from Deontay, he's pretty much untested against big punchers. You seen the devastating power of the bronze bomber? The first big punch and the cuban was stumbling around like a drunk. I remember a in shape Stiverne standing his ground and absorbing more big shots from Wilder in their first fight. The bomb squad had to practically pick up Ortiz and help him over to his corner, once Deontay got down to business. I'm pretty sure the big stiff bodybuilder Joshua would stop him like he did with Whyte and Brezeale. Povetkin probably grinds him down late too. Jarrel Miller is another one that I feel might stop him.

Fury would beat him one handed...for real.

Wilder didn't even stop him with his power...he stopped him becuase Ortiz was totally finished the 50 year old dosser.
