Joshua could probably handle him but i would favor Ortiz against any heavyweight except for Wilder and Joshua.

Tyson Fury could also give him problems with his movement, imo it's a 50/50 fight and i would slightly favor
    Ortiz against Povetkin.

Ortiz is the most skillful heavyweight and the 3rd or 4th best on overall ability.

I'll believe the hype when I see a performance that warrants any.
Gassing and being knocked down by a blow to the forid doesn't 'wow' me....call me a cynic.

I'd put money on Whyte to beat Ortiz

Not sure what your talking about...

Joyce went on to be robbed of Olympic gold and defeated Hrgovic prior to Usyk who was also a known national champion with only 2 years of am bouts and very limited quality fights.

Usyk was a olympic gold medalist when Joyce fought him FIVE years ago, yet put up a decent fight in FIVE round fight ,the first 3 which were very close...

    You realize fighters progress right?

    They don't just stagnate.

Joyce wide open? Only if you can capitalize on openings which require a tough fighter able to withstand his pressure.

    Here are the actual facts...

    Joyce is 6'6.

    Joyce is 245 pounds

Joyce has sparred Joshua HUNDREDS of rounds.

Joyce has excellent stamina which makes him a non stop punching machine.

Joyce has beat up Stiverne, Fury and held his own against a soon to be top level fighter Vlad Sirenko in sparring.

Peter Fury had Hughie vacant his belt so he wouldn't have to fight Joyce bc Peter himself acknowledges Joyces ability to make for difficult fights.

Joyce is going to be a tough out for 90% of the HW's right now and hes only in 5 fights.

    These are the facts.

I kinda agree, I'd say Joyce is the REAL BOOGEYMAN of the division. He's actually heavier than 245, last I checked he was 255. So he's a big guy that has incredible stamina and can somersault lol

I never knew he sparred Joshua for 100's of rounds though...

H2H among active fighters I'd pick AJ, Fury, and Wilder as favorites. He'd be a live dog against any of them. Current Sasha would be about 50/50 for me, lets see how he looks against AJ. I'd pick Whyte, Parker, and a few others to be underdogs, but very live ones, for Ortiz.

Joyce went on the U.K am team ( whatever its called) when Joshua was there. They were both sparring partners for each other as preparation.

Not sure why people ignore actual facts on here and focus on what THEY think is sloppy and bad skills...

certainly not the case with Joyce who will be interesting to see style wise under new training if he is defensive minded first then offensive second?

A little tweaking and hes ready for a title shot but that comes with actual fights...I give him ten fights in that we'll really see him at his best.

Well Joyce will have had almost 7 fights in the span of one year, which is quite a lot - assuming he fights in December.

Another ten fights or so would be 1.5 years ish, he's already 32.

Imagine the toll of that many profressional fights in such short periods, he's almost fighting every 6 weeks at the current rate.

    That's gonna cause issues man.

    Boxing don't work like that...

You get as much as you possibly can fight wise in the beginning....its accumlitive rounds/getting the rounds in and staying active.

Fighting less would hurt him as it would for any guy turning pro at HW bc you need to get accustomed to the actual fights.

Joyce will have the adequate amount of rounds by fight 10 if he gets guys to give him rounds or carry them?

Joyce will have less fights as a top guy as they don't fight 7 times a year bc its unwarranted and in all likelihood he gets a title shot by defeating a high ranked guy in one fight which is where you will see the activity fall.

    Ortiz declined Whyte in 2016.

Its not about confidence its about practibility...

Whyte fighting Ortiz gives him zero meaning right now .
