im watching it as we speak mate, he was holding onto floyd as floyd strafed and backpedaled trying to create space while cotto is clearly trying to stay inside and tie him up... guerrero was moved by that right hook, his legs did not buckle but it certainly did stun him, i think if floyds hand had not broken guerrero would have gone in 2 more rounds of that punishment he took in 7 or 8

Robert would have went the distance .

Guerrero showed he can withstand Floyd's power , hes just not a fighter that presses for the knockout , even when he does rarely hurts his opponents , he doesn't take any unnecessary risks . He's just not built that way . He's will always be a defense fighter first .

ive watch Cotto/Mayweather closely 4 times . I just didn't see Miguel being genuinely hurt by Floyd in any point of the fight .

Indeed^. Anyone can be beaten, Mayweather included, the above mentioned would all have a realistic chance.

I believe GGG stands the best chance, but while I suspect he's very able to get down to 154 (walking lighter than 'Nelo or Trout) since he's never fought pro at jr Middle perhaps he doesn't belong in the conversation. TBH He's also the only one I would give good odds to.

^^I don't know if Guerrero could withstand FLoyd's power. It became quite evident to me by the 8th round that Floyd was about to knock him out, the only thing that held him back was that he injured his right hand and that point took his foot off the gas for the remainder of the fight.

Had he not injured his hand, it was definitely a very realistic possibility that FLoyd would've ended that fight by the 10th round. He was picking him apart in that 8th round and if his chronically injured hand didn't start acting up, The Ghost would've been out of there pretty soon.

    GGG,Lara,maybe Garcia
I think we will see him fight Garcia in may 2014 so we will see about that.
Alvarez has very little chance of winning he is just not skilled enough!!

When are people going to wake up and realize that Floyd is just a great boxer but in an era of mediocre boxers.

You know it's bad when the Darren Barkers and Murrays of the world are in the mix at middleweight.

Floyd is a great boxer sharpshooter but he's had no real competition in his era he's not an ATG it's just everyone else isn't on that level of sharpness and athleticism.Only fighter thats even looked remotely dominant in this weight class has been pacman other than that most of floyds opponents have looked dicey prior to facing floyd.

Pacquiao still has the best shot if he wins impressively over Rios.

But at this point, I think FMJ has all the advantages. So probably nobody at this point.

If you "really" think about it, it's been like this his whole career
Between 98-03 at 130/135 the Real Top Names were G.Hernandez,Corrales,Casamayor,Frietas,Castillo,Lazcano,& Johnston. Mayweather managed to fight Hernandez,Corrales, and Castillo. The trainers of Casamayor,Frietas, and Lazcano openly ducked Mayweather, and Castillo beat Johnston a fight before Mayweather and was the clear cut Best Lightweight of his era holding victories over Johnston,Lazcano,Casamayor,in Corrales II, and a disputed/close decision loss in his 1st bout with Mayweather.

this whole time Mosley and Hoya never said a word when Mayweather was calling them out for a fight at 147

at 140-147 Guys like Hatton,Mosley, and Cotto all title holders ducked Mayweather for years 04-07 yet and still he managed to fight the last 2 True Undisputed Welterweight Champs, the #2 rated Champ at JWW, an Undefeated P4P Star after he gained some confidence, and a *6 weight World Champ that was the #1/2 Rated JMW in the world coming off of a solid KO win. He did miss guys like Williams who has like 0 Quality Wins in his career except a robbery in Martinez I, and Margarito who kept losing until he finally got a break through win vs Cotto in 08 and was subsequently shamed and destroyed in every fight after 6 months later. the only real standout name missed was Tszyu and to a lesser extent maybe Harris.

In 08-10 he retired before Margarito managed to get his ONLY good win but again Margarito was on top for 6 months before he was caught trying to cheat vs Mosley and was KO'd in every fight after. When Mayweather came back in 09 the only two "threats" were Mosley and Pacquiao. Mayweather fought Marquez(though he came in overweight) coming off of what should have been a win in Pacquiao-Marquez II as a tune up for a Mayweather-Pacquiao fight.

Meanwhile Pacquaio ducked the Champ Mosley at "142" to fight Cotto coming off of the Margarito/Clottey fights. Mayweather/Pacquiao win and Mayweather initiates negotiations for Mayweather-Pacquiao fight Mayweather agrees to all of Pacquiaos demands but Pacquaio refuses Mayweather's only demand of drug testing/14 day cut off(even though Pacquaios own trainer laughed and said they would have no problem with drug testing at the VERY START OF NEGOTIATIONS). Pacquiao pulled out and proceeds to fight Clottey coming off a "loss" while Mayweather fight the same Mosley Pacquaio just ducked at 147.

since then between 10-13 outside of the 2/3 failed Pacquiao negotiations, Mayweather has fought everyone he was supposed to. The WBC Champ and his Mandatory challenger in Ortiz and Guerrero both top 3 rated WW, also the WBA Champ in Cotto and currently the WBC Champ Alvarez in a bout to determine a True Undisputed Champ at JMW(although at 152) both were also rated #1 at JMW at the time of the fight.

People are currently criticizing Mayweather because he doesn't fight Middle and Super Middle Weights. Now I'm no ***** just a realist but if Mayweather try's to Really go for glory in these last 4 fights and actually fights Martinez(though old is the true MW Champ) for the MW Crown at 157-60 and Ward(the true SMW Champ) For his SMW Title at 160-164 and remains undefeated there is noway you can keep him outside the top 10 All Time regardless of missed fights/catch weights.
