Thats an interesting question so I googled it and there were 14 names but I was surprised at two of them. Joe Louis and Henry Armstrong.

Clay Turner. He was a good fighter from about 1916 to 1920. He beat Kid Norfolk and Gunboat Smith. He lost to the great Harry Greb quite a few times, but then again, who didn't?

    Chauncy Welliver

Joe Hipp is Welliver's trainer and a Native American Legend.

Big Sky Tye Fields is another HW.

Here are the Native American Boxing Council Ranking. Matt Godfrey and Shawn Hawk are the cruisers.

There are not as many registered as I had imagined. HW being the deepest division of them all.

Joe Hipp and Chauncy Welliver are in position to try to make history again. Joe Hipp is the only Native American to ever fight for the HW Title. Now that Welliver is #6 in the world, Chauncy could be the 2nd, with Joe Hipp becoming the 1st to fight and train a guy to fight for the HW title. If they win....there will be a f'n movie 100%. They are attempting to write an epic modern day Native American story in 2012. Stay Tuned!

Many Mexican and Mexican-American boxers are actually native: Erik Morales, Daniel Ponce de Leon, Raul Marquez, Victor Ortiz, Marco Antonio Barrera, Mikey Garcia, Chris Arreola, Genaro Hernandez, etc.

Others like Oscar de la Hoya and the Marquez brothers are part native.

Actually only a few Mexican boxers are white: Saul Alvarez and BJ Flores come to mind.

American boxers Chauncey Welliver, Tye Fields, and Matt Godfrey are part native.

Virtually all Latin American fighters have Native American genes, even if they don't look it, unless they have a distinct lineage from European immigrants like Martinez or a pure line of privileged white family (which obviously isn't common in the world of boxing.)
