Can anyone tell me why Muhammad Ali is so revered outside the ring?

That he was a great boxer no doubt but so were Frazier and Foreman yet they aren't nearly as well known around the world

    -Cheated on his wives
    -Betrayed Malcolm X
-Was part of an anti-white organisation and followed possibly the biggest scumbag in afro-american history
-When Ali had his license suspended for refusing to serve in the army Frazier helped him financially, he repays that debt by calling him and uncle tom and making fun of him, basically spitting in his face. Even though Frazier came from a much harsher and racist environment than Ali did.

  2. He's a self-appointed Muslim, who did Haram whenever stepping into the ring .. what do you expect from a guy, who's betraying his own religion?

Well he basicly stood up for an entire race. He was a cultural icon who also stood up for the right of freedom. The freedom to think, talk and act the way you want to act.

He also inspired an ENTIRE generation to achive and dare to dream.

:rofl:rofl:rofl ali was one of the most resentful and hateful people ever in major sports. he was pumped up by the liberal press and got away with being one of the great racists of our time.

Frazier was 10x the man Ali was.

Because most posters weren't alive during his reigns or haven't looked into that era of boxing past what boxrec says or what a youtube highlight video shows.

He was part of the 60 s movement. He did alot for black people and american people in general. In his young days he was perhaps a bit nieve but he grew and in to a sybol of the people not just in america but all over the world. He was loved in europe africa and the americas. He is the greatest sporting icon and the peoples champ. He was whe greatest.

OK, I see that you're trying for induction into the stupid hall of fame so I ask you, what does Haram mean and relate it to boxing.

    He didn't 'Betray Malcolm X'

He was a young impressionable man who wasn't the best at thinking for himself.

Malcolm was smart to get out of nation of islam bull**** but Ali wasn't as smart to follow. It's actually something Ali regrets. You live and learn.
