not a damn thing can be done about it, if you leave it in the hands of the judges its not up you.to win in hostile terriorty you have to ko or dominate your man.a close fight means the guest fighter losses almost all the time.hell as great as the super 6 is everyone is winning in there backyards and losing in someone else's backyard.only fighter that almost won an away fight was dirrell against froch.

The KO is the only solution. That's why I like KlitschKOs. They leave nothing to the judges. They just knock them out. They had to to adjust their styles from the very beginning so that they could crack this problem (home decisions).

It is happening every weekend all over the world. Some people want to make it look like it is only Germany. That's not the case. The last two weekends showed once again that America is not a stranger to home judging.

 

They have as much chance of curing home town decisions as they do curing your AIDS.

 

The right guy won every fight in the super six, and Abraham and Kessler both got more rounds by the judges when fighting away than most neutral observers gave them.
And the guy who had Froch winning over Dirrell by three points also had Kessler beating Froch by 4. So he is apparently trying to be friends with Hennesey and Sauerland?
Bad example.

 

Or how about a full run down from every judge after the fight, to be released the next day, like the match report from a referee in real football. They can explain why they gave that score, why they thought the person deserved the round more, what they thought were the main scoring punches in each round etc etc, that way they have to justify themselves and we dont end up with all these bull**** Sturm-like desicions.

 

You could start by putting the judges inside sound proof booths with focus windows on them. Hometown crowds have a ridiculous influence over the perception of a fight. Apparently the sound of 20,000 people going crazy makes an impression.

Although implementing sound proof booths may be turn out to be abit costly. Could just invest in a pair of headphones from Argos for each of the judges. That could do the trick.

 

International judges for all world title fights would be a nice start.

Due to the nature of the US justice system which gives major power to the states, boxing in that country is state commission controlled which alone wouldn't be a problem. However state athletic commissions require all officials to be licenced in the given state (no other country I know of requires that), and since it's impossible that the well-respected international judges get a licence in every single state, you see mostly American - and local state - judges even in such important fights. It is not a deliberate thing from the commissions (although promoters use it as an advantage), but the numbers simply win: there are several dozen local judges licenced in Missouri for example, but there's just a few international with a Missouri licence. And local judges are much cheaper.
