some ppl just arent ripped, look at Juan Diaz, he wasnt cut but nobody thought he was at the wrong weight

Rios has to do something, i can excuse coming in at like 135.5 or under but like being 3 or 4 pounds overweight means its impossible or you didnt try

I might be the only one to disagree but I always felt (and wrote) that Diaz should have fought @130. At the end I can't complain bc he gave us some very entertaining fights and a great one.
But IMO a pro athlete with the right diet is usually close to being cut. There was an interview of Rios or Garcia saying that he was eating 3times per day with some carbs (sometimes). I don't know how true that is but you better split your food intake into 5lighters meals per day (and keep your metabolism running high) if you want to burn fat. Rios is a beast in training but I don't believe his nutrition plan is appropriate. Same **** when I hear pro boxers saying: "my Mum is cooking for me..best food in the world and she knows what's right for me.." Sure!!

Rios should give Ariza a shot. Great Personal trainer who also has a legit Nutritional advisor on his team, Teri Tom. Ariza's team is proven.

And understanding of how to "make weight" for the scales and then rehydrate properly is another thing Ariza seems to understand well.

I just wonder how quick the results will be. Even Ariza admits it takes time to figure out how the athlete's body works and reacts...but better results should be expected.

We all know Ariza performs miracles. Why if only Pacquiao listened to him, he'd have destroyed JMM!

Rios should give Ariza a chance and if it doesn't work, then he'll still be better at 140 than he would have otherwise.

Why is it so important that Rios makes 135 anyway? He already comes into the ring heavier than most LWWs. Can he only win beating up smaller men? Let's see how he does fighting opponents his own size.

Exactly, As ariza stated... they didn't train the Ariza way... and his last meal was missed... which would have provided some much needed "nutrients" :rofl

GBP pretty much own 140, Rios wouldn't achieve anything their and isn't technically good enough for 147.

Rios could fight Bradley, Marquez, Alvarado or Judah at 140, and he could move up to fight Pacquiao after a big win too.
