This fight is a toss up. One thing that would bode well for Chris in this fight is Sam Peter's height. Unlike Wlad or Vitali Arreola would have no trouble reaching Peter. According to boxrec they both have a 77 inch reach and Arreola is actually a couple of inches taller. If stylistically he could not get hit too much by Peter I think Chris would win by KO
HMMM let's see he has two losses on his record,, both to the two best heavies of today and in one of those fights he knocked down wlad 3 times and btw he is only 28 years old:good
Sam Peter has no skill. None. Arreola would beat him. Peter made a name in beating a fat and old midget and James Toney. I am still laughing at the Peter nuthuggers who would post multi paragraph posts on here explaingin how he was going to beat Dr. Vitali Klitschko. :roflatsch
You don't win a heavyweight belt with no skill....if that were true than you rico could get in the ring and win a belt too right??? or outbox james toney and win,,,yes second fight I am talking about. I know you don't like Peter but's its comical the way you dismiss him
Sam Peter is no joke...his only 2 losses came to the Klitchko brothers...He is very skilled...Arreola is limited and is increasingly heavier and heavier for fights...I think Peter beats him by Ko around the 5th!...BOXER BEATS A BRAWLER 9 TIMES OUTTA 10!
Whatever Peter's next bout, it will show if he has lost the fighting spirit; personally, i think he has a lot to gain from his next fight in terms of redemption. The personal redemption being the most important for continuing his career. Peter by TKO 3-5, his chin isn't ****, Chris's is suspect; regardless, a fight i wanna see!
Sam Peter is a skilled fighter, if he wasnt, he would of never won a world title. Peter is not the most skilled fighter out there, but he has improved his skill set since his first big fight against Wlad back in 05, thats just hope he continues his improvement and picks up a belt along the way.
He is skilled in todays HW division...maybe not the 90's...Today Id favor him over any HW other than the Klitchkos...hed knock Valuev too!
We cannot clearly say if Peter lost anything. Sure he was beaten to a pulp vs Vitali, but imagine what Vitali would do with Arreola. Peters next fights will show if he is done as world class boxer or not. Peter has shown he is world class, something Arreola hasnt. I think Peter has the edge chinwise and knocks Arreola out. Im sure before the Vitali fight nearly everyone would have favored Peter. But losing to Vitali doesnt change too much. It doesnt change the fact that Peter is a good fighter. Not a great titlist, but a good fighter. Nothing so far i have seen from Arreola makes me pick him vs Peter.
Fair enough buddy, dont lose faith in Peter, he will champ again in 2010, you can qoute me on that.:good
I agree, Chagaev hasn't fought anyone worth a **** since he got the title in April of 07 when he fought Valuev. Peter would destroy "Pink Tyson" by 6th round KO.
