I would be very surprised. Can you imagine even Mchunu with all his skills couldn't beat Makabu over 12? He also only had a very small points lead going into the 11th (1, 0 and 2 points on the cards) where he got KO'd. Bellew surprised me with his win over Masternak, but this is an entirely different level.
We'll get the whole "I'm willing to die in the ring to get that belt!" then he'll run for for 6 round and crumble as soon as he's chinned... To be honest I think he'll give it more of a go than the Stevenson fight, as this is is last chance.
bellew can box really well at times but i just cant see him keeping makabu on the end of that jab for 12 rounds. makabu hits hard, can take a punch, has a good engine. I'll be amazed if bellew pulls this off unless makabu has taken a few back handers?
Very good, possibly the best in a very competitive division but time will tell He reminds me of Toney at times; very fluid & effective in the pocket but can be flat footed & a little lazy at times.
Yes he can, I think he has a good chance, I wouldnt be surprised to see him jabbing his way to world title.
