So here in this wonderful, choatic forum we have many who see themselves as "true boxing fans", more hardcore then hardcore and get pleasure from calling out or "proving wrong" other members posts.

Now Since Mayweather has not lost (look, don't bother bringing up the first Castillo fight) I see there is no blueprint but I do wonder with all your vast boxing knowledge, if you could tell me if there is any realistic way that Berto can beat Mayweather and how he could achieve it?

    He can't, simple.

I mean Oscar was going to make a rematch with Karrass before this happened! That should say it all about where Berto is right now.

Floyd, for me, has this weird fascination with Andre. He used to want fighters to beat him to prove their worth, and now he wants to fight him! Weird.

He has a chance, a slim one at that...but people wrote off Maidana too...and look how that turned out...not saying Berto can emulate that but he's surely gonna give it a crack anyway. I expect nothing from him so he cannot disappoint in ym eyes

No he cannot, that's why Floyd chose him, same thing with Maidana #2.
Low risk high reward - Floyd's path to success.

Berto can shock but not by winning, he could shock by kicking Floyd between the legs so hard it lifts him out of the arena, Floyd wins by DQ and equals Marcianos record, Berto gets banned from the sports for 3 years and starts dating Mayweathers mother

It would be very funny if he landed a huge shot and slumped Mayweather.

It would be amazing but I just can't see it happening.

    Berto's last six fights

He was getting his ass paddled up until the finish by blown up past it lightweight/light-welter Josesito Lopez who was never anything in his prime.

I haven't seen it but I heard he struggled against some no hoper relation of Eddie Chambers who had lost his last 2 fights, 1 via stoppage.

Knocked out by often beaten journeyman Soto Karass who got his ass paddled rose red and knocked out by Keithy 'One Time' Thurman in his next fight and then handled with ease by Devon Alexander following that.

Bounced up and down off the canvas a couple of times and UD'd by blown up super-feather Robert Guerrero who really ain't sh*t up at 147. 'One Time' paddled his ass too.

Won a very fortunate cut eye retirement victory over Jan Zavek after billy goat butting the cr*p out of him because he realized Zavek was too tough to beat fair and square. That's the same Zavek who 'One Time' shut out 12-0 with utter ease by the way. Zavek was giving Berto everything he could handle from start to finish.

Bounced up and down off the canvas and UD'd by the dog awful Victor Ortiz. Like Berto, Ortiz has always been a massive hype job.

In short, not a hope in hell.
