Eleider Alvarez is natural 175 lbs fighter. Canelo came from 147 lbs and his best weight is 168 lbs. He is robust guy and has 175 lbs punch power imo.

So he should move upto 175lbs after the Plant fight then, right?

I think Canelo will be the one to stop Artur, and I also believe this fight is only one year away. After Plant Canelo will fight Bivol and Artur in that order.

Maybe. But Beterbiev is a huge puncher and has a puncher chance against Ginger. I feel more comfortable about Bivol.

Beterbiev is vulnerable to getting knocked out too... he's been down several times btw.. Callum Johnson knocked him down

If all this is true, why did he vacate the 160 title to avoid GGG after beating Cotto, on the grounds that he 'was not a natural 160lb fighter' or some other such pish Oscar was spouting?

Nothing in boxing in last 5 years worse that Canelo vacating that belt on the grounds that he was "too wee". My arse!

Do you remember what a scary fighter Golovkin was in 2015-2016? Everyone was avoding him and he couldn't find qualified opponent himself because of that.

Canelo fought Trout and TBE in 2013 and Lara in 2014. They were also avoided fighters and young Canelo showed his bravery. Golovkin was different animal, he had KO chance against Canelo.

That's refreshing that you at least concede that Canelo did actually duck GGG after he beat Cotto, props!

Would have been interesting to see what would have transpired if them met then.

Golovkin would beat Canelo in 2015-2016 by UD imo.

2018 and 2019 Canelo can beat any version of GGG cause he solved GGG. Front foot aggressively, punch combination to body+face as homogeneous, ruin GGG's stamina with body punches and win by versality and outworking.

I am not sure he would hit Canelo clean. Canelo is very well skilled and knows the game well, so someone has to have speed and a jab to get that punch on him, and still Canelo has the tricks. A top fighter can land on him, but where are these fighters. The guys he has fought lately are not fab 4 material., they are below that level so he has sort of had his way and has looked dominant. Can you imagine the Michael Spinks who fought Qawi against Canelo? That would be a wipeout win for Michael. But, I give Canelo credit for being a top skilled experienced guy who makes decent fighters lose rather easily.

Hard to land on Cinnamon clean to the melon agreed! But what about the liver, kidneys, ribs and solar plexus. That's where Beterbiev's work would go IMO. Canelo's defense is good and his head movement is exceptioonal, but he can't keep the Beeb off his body

He would be punching also and he has the skills to draw him in.. He is so smart and experienced, so he knows the whole game..

Canelo has skills but he doesn't have enough skills to keep Artur form breaking a rib or two - at the very least slowing his already questionable stamina to a crawl. IMO.

Canelo is better body puncher than Arthur. Arthur is bigger guy and has more areas for getting hit.
