They wouldn't drink energy drinks anyway. They don't help performance. They're aimed towards stupid high school kids who think they're cool and don't know any better. They contain sugar and caffeine. So does coffee. It's basically great marketing of a total bull**** product. Don't be suckered in.
They could. RJJ was tested positive for a steroid that wasn't illegal in the US but was on the banned WADA list at the time. He was taking a some muscle ripper fuel from a GNC. Btw, you can't trust any supplemental product at all as a pro athlete that has to adhere to WADA's policy. You take a great chance with anything you put into your body turning up a positive.
Some do. You need to read the labels. But energy drinks tend to cause a crash. Most fighters and trainers would tell you not to use them. Protein drinks are fine, but stay away from things like Red Bull and whatnot. Most energy drinks will just dehydrate you too much anyway, and then you might get tired when you need the energy the most because you can't take the energy drinks then.
