I still think he's a very exciting fighter, would be a shame if he left the ring. Question is, is the manner of the loss too much to overcome or can he learn from it and come back? What should he do? Does he have it in him to up shut all the critics on here? Froch says the same shots he ate would have wiped out anybody else, Ward included, so maybe his chin isn't the whole issue.... :huh
He'll be back. . . Whether or not he'll ever accompish what he appeared destine to, is the real question. . . His management and promotional team released a statement earlier saying "Bute's comeback will be carefully planned. . . After some time off to rest, and recover mentally from the loss, we'll be back stronger than ever. . . A loss like this is not as devastating as it initially appears to be. . . Many boxers have overcome losses like this. . " - PARAPHRASING. . .
shut up ******. you were on his nuts so hard it was sad Semen was dripping out of your mouth whenever you talk about lucian bute Bute got destroyed by a Iron Chin British Warrior and was exposed as the Eastern Euro bum that he always was.
He won't fight a big puncher that's for sure lol... But he's Interbox's cash cow so he will win some other weak title
When Bute walked in the ring he looked nervous, if not scared. And he fought that way. As they say, boxing is 90% mental. He may come back, but he will never be anything other than a paper champion again.
To me he had a very off night and never seemed to be himself Froch to me had a career day whats not to say a better Bute and a normal day Froch dont have a different fight Bute has a few things to fix mainly his defense and not sitting on the ropes, also he needs to use the right hand more
Lol. . . I was all over both boxer's nuts. . I was telling people to stop hating on Bute. . . And yes, I PICKED Bute to win?! So did 75-85% of posters. . . However, if oyu read my posts, you'd have seen where I said I was equally a fan of BOTH boxers. . . If I saw HATE on EITHER boxer, I'd chin check them. . .
I joked, and luahged about some pictures this one die hard (but slightly annoying) Bute fan was making. . . LOL his facebook page was entitled "everybody is afraid of lucien bute" (He shut it down mintues after the fight). . . But I also joked around about "Bute having a glass jaw." First post I made in this one thread was: "Froch gonna shatter him some glass?" "or Bute gonna crunch him some internal bodily organs". . When I was in "serious boxing mode", I kept reiterating how I would win, and lose regardless of who win, cause Im such a fan of both guys.
Yes he will continue, this is his life. Can he come back is the big question. It all depends on how badly he was hit psychologically from a devastating one-sided loss like this. Obviously most of his opponents will now approach him aggressively seeing how he was troubled and confused by that kind of attack. It all depends on how he will handle it, if he's psychologically hit hard then he could be a KO victim to someone else.
of course he can come back, all he has to do is go back and fight the type of fighters he was fighting before.maybe get allan green to come down to 168 and try to ko him, or hell even offer jermain taylor fight at 68 or a catch weight.whats up with jeff lacy im sure hes in decent looking shape. or he can move up and fight hopkins but for what i dont think hopkins will want to anymore if he dont have a title atleast.hopkins wanted him bad, he would have made it ugly but won the fight hands down.im glad froch got him first because he gets it done in brutal manner.
I hope so. This is way tougher to recover from. I would love it if he strings together a few victories and has another showdown with Froch perhaps in late 2013.
Going back to fighting easy targets for years, as he has been doing since 2008, will only result in another step-up followed by a humiliating KO defeat. He should take a tune-up or two but has to improve his fight game by fighting good opponents. His managers kept feeding him to terrible yet carefully picked opposition like Brinkley, Zuniga, Miranda and Magee only to bump into a Froch(who was also carefully picked yet underestimated based on his loss to Ward) and the result was uncanny to them despite Froch being a supersix finalist. They may deceive the public with that kind of approach but they can't deceive their own fighter. Building confidence in hand-picked fights should be temporary, not a career approach.
