It only the yanks that have a problem with Calzaghe. I find it a big contradiction that he has not got the respect he deserves because he has never fought in america before. Yer right like the yanks are so willing to come over to europe. You will see why Joe Calzaghe is a legend and B-hop is nothing but an overatted boxer. Just like the rest of the American boxing professionals All over rated. I dont think any of them have boxing skill do they!!! LOL cOME TO THE MILLENIUM SATDIUM THEN YOU WILL FIND OUT WHAT A CALDRON OF ATMOSPHERE IS!!!!

Compared to Calzaghe? It isn't even debatable.

Of course 0 credit for Calzaghe but it could also depend on how he won. It's also safe to say that if Hopkins won he'll get no credit either since he'll beat a "blown up" super middleweight.

You think Hopkins doesn't have a good resume?, ESPECIALLY compared to Calzaghe?, that's ridiculous. :patsch

If Hopkins wins a relatively fairly reffed fight, relatively fairly scored (say, if he wins 5 rounds or so), he will get a hell of a lot of credit.

Some boxing fights are a lot like a chess match.

    Not even!
The only way he could gain any credence from this fight is to dominate for 1 minute before KO'ing the near 50 year old Hopkins.
Personally, I think that Calzaghe is about to experience what Michael Moore went thru after losing to an old George Foreman.

B-Hop will be holding a lot and making this a difficult fight for Calzaghe. His only chance is to get plenty of close rounds and get a hometown decision win.

I believe the Winky fight was the last good fight for Hopkins... He should've taken this fight six years ago when Joe was calling him out. Then he might've still had a real chance. Now I think he'll just be outclassed by Joe.

    Emphatic NO on my part.

Beating Hopkins at 43 is not the same as beating him at 33 (ie in his prime).

What about losing to Hopkins at 43?
