I know I'm going to regret getting involved in this, but.....while Rocky could only beat who was around at the time, it was a pretty poor bunch. He got to 43-0 before he won the title and then had to defend against older and smaller guys. Calzaghe has been at world class (in an admittedly weak division) for the last 10 years and 20+ fights.

Marciano run was in the heavy weight division, where they KO for fun, that's what makes his undefeated run particularly impressive.

I agree thats like 2 Calzaghe undefeated careers in one.

Even Hatton was undefeated before he faced Floyd. He could have taken 6 more fights against bums and gone 50/0; big deal.

I'd rather see a fighter facing decent opponents and losing then protecting a false 0.

Not to me, the level of oppostion and (more importantly) the longevity at that level is more impressive.

I think he will retire before then. Just a hunch!

Going by that logic, you must think Chavez is twice the figher Joe is then?

He's only taking one more fight anyway and 2 at the very most(but unlikely).

JC is a great fighter and a future Hall of Famer but Chavez is another level above, a real P4P ATG.:D

Calslappy could possibly get to 50/0 if here were to avoid Dawson and Pavlik.
