Can Canelo do a million buys on his own?

    With Canelo set to fight either Angulo or Molina on PPV it will be interesting to see how many buys he does on his own. I was very surprised that the Floyd fight 2.2 Mill. When you consider Guerrero/Floyd didn't even do a mill. Canelo has a huge following do you think he can do a mill on his own? That will mean hes Pac/Floyd level if he does.

    No. The Mayweather Marketing Plan is simple. The bigger the public population that thinks a guy is a threat. the higher the PPV sales. They didnt pay to see Canelo win, they paid to see Floyd lose.

    Same way that Ortiz, Cotto, Mosley, all did higher than 1.3 mil. and after its over, none of those guys can sell a PPV on their own.

    Naw, The only reason him and Floyd drew that many is because he was the hope of a country, undefeated and guaranteed to win by no other than Oscar Del LaHoya himself. He proved himself to be just ordinary and although the numbers may be good, it won't be a million. Maybe half that.

    Depending on who he fights. Let's be honest the only reason Canelo-Mayweather made 2.2 mil was because of Canelo. Not to mention the date was set on Mexican holiday.
