I was watching Canelo punching pads on this vid and Mathew Fouts says his punching technique has improved! This content is protected Interesting?!
He has to use more body shots to hurt him, his best punch is the left hook to the body anyway, followed by the counter right hand, Canelo is not the most powerful puncher and i don't think he will crack Golovkins chin.
by regarding canelo`s past, i don`t think that canelo he can hurt golovkin. canelo wasn`t even a knockoutmachine at 154. ggg has as an middleweight an exceptional good chin. maybe to the body but even that scenario seems unrealistic for me.
It's hard to believe he can concuss Golovkin enough to force a stoppage considering Golovkin has taken and shrugged off clean hooks from Stevens and Lemieux, noted KO artists at 160. Both guys DID land good stuff during the fights. However, there might be a tiny chance of a stoppage in other ways. 1. If Canelo landed enough and luckily enough to swell an eye shut or create a big cut, he could stop him like Paulie did that Ukrainian. 2. Perfect liver shot that gets through like it did with Smith, does anyone have an iron liver? 3. GGG gets Haye-hobbled during fight when a tendon snaps and can't defend himself, stopped on his feet due to unanswered punches that don't really hurt him. I consider these freak event scenarios, so Canelo cheerleaders shouldn't get their hopes up or put their lippie on.
Carlos Baldomir actually. This content is protected That fight kinda made me a fan, right up until the whole Caneloweight and diva thing started. Of course Tata's chin isn't comparable to Golovkin's.
Golovkin knows the body shots can hurt him or slow him down which is why he defended well to his body in the first fight. He can tuck up again but it will only cost him his offence again. If he opens up and gets chopped down he's going to fade in the later rounds.
Nope. Golovkin already took his best shots. Everyone can get KTFO, but common sense would suggest that weaker (lighter) version of Canelo cannot produce the force necessary for the job. Trying the Kovalev approach might work, don’t think anyone has pounded Genady’s body strong and long enough to test what happens.
If he can't hurt him with his best loaded up right hand on the button as GGG was coming IN while on peds and with loaded gloves he certainly isn't hurting him without. People said Vanes hurt GGG, bull**** I rewatched it yesterday only I ignored Kellerman's banal commenting. Brook caught him nicely but it just served to anger him. Jacobs made him honest a few times but Jacobs was a LHW in that fight which Canelo ain't.
Maybe I'm deluded but I can't see Golovkin ever being hurt, unless he carries on boxing after 40, then it's inevitable.
This. Canelo has good pop but GGG has fought heavier punchers and taken shots from heavier punchers without being bothered. Clen Canelo landed his best Sunday counter-punch wound up from the judge's box and he barely moved GGG. I mean, Golovkin spars with guys like Gassiev, ffs! Only way Canelo hurts Golovkin is if GGG blows his wad and gasses and Canelo manages to land a series of shots or a single big shot that Golovkin doesn't see coming. But it will take exceptional circumstances IMHO.
