No ! not in this lifetime... This is just a bitter ODLH at work ! Trying to use the Money brand to promote his fight.. And his fight will always be against Mayweather...

It always trips me out how people speak on subjects they know nothing of.

Cinnabum? Don't bet on it. Neither he nor Cotto and sell more than 400K PPV alone. Combined they might make 500K. HBO will not air it on May 2nd! That's Cinnabum talking just like he said, "I was born ready". All posturing.

Crazy, where most people see one plus one equaling three, you don't even have it equaling two.

Yeah like Cotto-Martinez was supposed to do over 1M easy. It flopped. This is USA not Mexico. It's Cinco de Mayweather not cinco de mayo. That stupid it's Mexicans who pay for PPV myth will be shattered.

This is not situation where Canelo will be continually advertised as injured, hopefully. This also Mexico vs. PR, and on Cinco weekend. It's completely different, anyway, you think Cotto Canelo should step aside for Floyd tba??

Some say Floyd can't sell well without a good opponent. If you look at the numbers cotto and canelo vs Floyd do millions. But cotto and canelo vs other opponents can't even break 500k ppv. Cotto vs canelo probably do 500k but not much more. There's a certain allure about Floyd. People love to hate him, want to see him punished. They want to witness him lose that 0.

Some of Floyd's biggest supporters hate him, they keep his name out there making him the most talked about boxer. Floyd is who he is by calculated design. If anything canelo trying to take back the Mexican dates is smart but the timing is all off. With them fighting on both dates it splits ppv numbers for both, showtime would take the bigger hit because of mayweather's payroll dwarfs Canelos.

To sum it all up, truth be told canelo shouldn't be fighting on ppv. The guy was built up and crafted, but is he really a ppv star. At this point it hard for me to get excited about buying one of his ppvs.

latinos want to elevate a latino fighter in the p4p rankings for glory and recognition so any top level fight will sell when it's promoted well. cotto vs canelo is a very good match up with cotto beating martinez with a belt at 160 being one weight class above for alvarez. it will definitely go against any mayweather fight which is not against pac or ggg.
