I personally can't see it happening and only then would it make 15mill a low ball offer.

McGregor sells 1.7mill ppvs and doesn't get 15mill and he's the king of MMA

If they stack the undercard and they both come off big wins with no catch weight I think they could do 2 mill. McGregor doesn't sell those PPV's himself. The UFC stacks the undercards and they match the fighters well. As much as I love boxing the stars are matched with no hopers too often.

Slightly under a million. And that's with Jesus on the undercard.

Problem is a lot of people no longer know who the champions are in boxing and a lot of the matchmaking is hopeless.

UFC have a lot of stacked cards and only one champion per division.

Boxing is a hard sport to follow these days, but casuals will always make it more money than the true fans.

UFC is inflating the numbers of the PPVs they supposedly sell. That Meltzer guy who is considered the biggest authority on how much the UFC PPVs sold recently posted some new estimates that were by hundreds of thousands lower. UFC 205 did 1.3 million.

This past week, Meltzer revealed a few more audited buy rates courtesy of the deck, including the most recent McGregor numbers. Per his subscription-only newsletter:

    UFC 100 (Lesnar vs. Mir 2): 1,298,000 – down from 1.6M

UFC 196 (McGregor vs. Diaz): 1,317,000 – down from 1.6M

UFC 200 (Lesnar vs. Hunt): 1,009,000 – down from 1.2M

*UFC 202 (Diaz vs. McGregor 2): 1,317,000-plus – down from 1.65M but still the all-time record

*UFC 205 (Alvarez vs. McGregor): 1,317,000-plus – tracking slightly ahead of 196

Like Bob Arum said, they're not a private company who's to check? The UFC doesn't release the real numbers.

UFC fans would never follow boxing, they're WWE fans and most of them started following the "sport" after Brock Lesnar came to the UFC (and beat the top guys immediately, what a joke, imagine a pro wrestler going to boxing and beating Klitschko after 3 years of training - not going to happen) and now they like the McGregor WWE act. UFC also sold some PPVs to feminists who liked Ronda.

Let them have those fans, check the MMA social media, MMA fans are horrible. Bunch of suburban American white kids who listen to nu metal. Every single UFC/MMA highlight/tribute video on YouTube has some metal music in it.

The only boxer they might like is Kelly Pavlik and maybe Joe Smith Jr. now.
