Why does this happen after every Wlad fight? Do you guys not understand yet? All of his opponents look horrible when he fights them... that's because Wlad makes them look that way.

It's not because of the Wlad fight.. I always knew that he wasn't anything to get excited about, long time ago.

BTW Wlad put on a hell of a performance.

The man was an Undefeated WBA Champion. Holding wins over Valuev and Ruiz. That isn't exactly someone who sucks. It not easy to become a world Champion... and Chagaev earned his fight with Wlad.

Chagaev is good fighter. Vlad was the first to knock him down, they first to beat him and, of course, the first to stop him. Chagaev beat Felix Savon. Was world amateur champion.

Chagaev would knock Haye out and he would beat Arreola.

Vlad is that good. Any time Vitali or Vlad wins a fight, the haters never give them credit. They just claim that their opponents are no good. I hope Vitali gets to knock Haye out in September, if not, he will stop Arreola. instead.

IF arreola hurts chagaev like wlad did, I think arreola finishes the job, his record seems to agree

    Oh please bro.

Wlad has physical advantages of his opponents that no other fighters have at 200 on down. Are you going to dispute this? Tell me any other situation in the lower weights where so called "elite" fighters going at it have such disparities in height, weight and reach?

I think Chagaev would beat him, but I never thought too highly of Arreola.

He is a brutal KO waiting to happen.

I see that there is an "argument" between people who believe that Wlad was super yesterday and those who say that Chagaev was very bad. I agree with both the opinions. Chagaev was a joke, no doubt. He can't fight any more.
But , this doesn't mean that Wlad was not good. Wlad was also very good .

That's a tough one .. a bit like asking who is the best heavyweight Wlad has ever fought. Is it one of the bums Wlad defeated or one of the bums who stopped Wlad? Chagaev is slow & plodding, out of shape, and a limited athlete. Arreola, on the other hand, is slow & plodding, out of shape, and a limited boxer.

Still, Arreola handled Travis Walker who is a much bigger and better athlete than Chagaev. Walker is the one that sent Vitali into retirement the first time after he floored Vitali with a body shot in sparring when Vitali was training for Hasim Rahman. Klitschko went on to announce his retirement a couple days after getting floored by Walker.

I'd take the younger Arreola by stoppage in a firefight. Chagaev is a textbook fighter and mediocre athlete and while he would have a much better chance stylistically against Chris (than against Wlad), he looks old and spent.

Does he suck? Course not. He's a decent HW.

But he's only had two fights since he beat Valuev in 2007 and looked awful in both of them. Not just that but he was oft injured, struggling with illnesses and lost any of the speed that made him a good heavyweight.

People who call Chag's credibility as an opponent arent being fair to him...but this guy in there recently who struggled against the likes of Drummond and Skelton isn't the same Chagaev who most people thought would beat Peter and Ibragamov. He was a shell to be honest.

Chris Arreola, you're our only hope...
