I take it that you weren't a fan of Lennox Lewis?

In fairness, Widdow, I think his wins over Ruiz and Valuev are extremely debatable.

I had his fight with Valuev a draw, and thought his fight with Ruiz was horrible for both fighters.

I knew that Wlad would outclass him and that he was being overrated by some.

Absolutely not. Anybody who followed Chagaev for more than just this fight will tell you he's declined...and a lot.

Chagaev is still much better than Haye. He did beat Felix Savon. I hope Vitali goes ahead and knocks Haye out in September.

Seriously guys he beat Felix Savon in 1999. 10 years ago. In BOXING years? That's like 40 years ago.

He has much more relevant victories to talk about than Felix Savon.

Chagaev is only 30 years old with 27 pro fights. The man isn't washed up. Let it go.

I think people should start noticing this trend: Wlad makes every opponent seem very ordinary...people are just going to have to start giving the Champ some credit...or risk sounding like Teddy Atlas!!

Haye was knocked out by Solis and an old cruiserweight. He is off balance, wide punches, no chin, no stamina, etc. Vitali or Vlad by knockout.

Chagaev was rated #3 by Ring Mag, now Vlad has won Ring Magazine Belt. Chagaev is the only one to have beaten Valouev. Had never been knocked out, nor knocked down, nor even lost a fight.

Vlad is cleaning out the heavyweight divison. Next fight will be against Povetkin, Gold Medalist. Then winner of Dimitrenko/Chambers fight. Povetkin has already beated Chambers.

That has nothing to do with anything. You can be 25 years old and be completely gone as a fighter. How old was Morales when he was cooked as a fighter? 28? How old was Vargas?

If you want to talk factually, it's pretty simple. He has had two fights since 2007. Fact. He looked poor against Skelton and Drummond. Fact. He had to drop out of a fight against Sultan Ibragamov because of injury. Fact. He had to drop out of TWO different fights with Valuev because of injury. Fact. He had his own training staff questioning his eye sight. Fact. He looked slow and lethargic against Drummond when his main skill was his hand and foot speed. Fact.

Should I continue? Or this good for you?

I just explained why Chagaev looked **** poor but people keep glossing over it.

Also for the record, I've kept this stance up LONG before Chagaev vs Wlad was announced.

Continue... because none of those excuses or attempts to discredit this victory for Wlad mean **** to me. I am going to need to hear a lot more. What I saw was Chagaev in great shape... Wlad in great shape... and the better fighter won.

    Facts are excuses? :lol::lol: Seriously?

I don't know whether I should keep up or not...I mean it seems like you're dead set in believing Chagaev wasn't on the shnide and even though I've listed about 5-10 different things that said otherwise, yer just completely ignoring it.

I guess this is the brick wall theory.
