Obviously, asking who wins would be stupid, Cintron is a showcase fight for Alvarez, but does anybody give him a shot to KO Canelo as it is in Mexico? [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCGFKxTI55Y[/ame]
I like the guy a bunch as a guy that fights hard and wins most of the exchanges he's been involved in. I do not think he is special, especially at 154 where he is not so big. Canelo's people must believe Cintron is so shot and shattered that he will not be able to connect to allow Saul to fight him. Canelo was hurt by a Cotto's brother fighting well above his best weight and was very much bothered by featherfisted Gomez. Ckintron is a head case, but he does have world class power. Short answer, if Cintron is training reasonably and is not finished mentally, he has a very good chance of knocking Canelo out.
Miguel Vazguez X2, Jose Cotto, Carlos Baldomir, Lovemore Ndou, Matthew Hatton, Ryan Rhodes, Alfonso Gomez, Kermit Cintron 21 years old... AMAZING! But yes, Cintron has a chance for sure. I'd give him a good 10%?
They certainly believe cintron is ready for the taking, good match up for the Ginger spice, he will learn alot in this match. Cintron was doing well in the Williams fight until he couldn't handle the pressure and decided to get out the kitchen. In Mexico I'm expecting cintron to do well enough to bag a few rounds before wilting before the Mexican crowd.
angulo > canelo anyday of the week. id pick vanes over him too. he'l beat this version of cintron though
Boy how Cintron has fallen. Cintron just doesn't have the tools or the heart. Don't be surprised if Canelo stops him.
Miguel Vaquez is small and mostly fought bums. Went 10 with Bradley who I like but TB is 140. Jose Cotto mostly fought south of 140 and had only fought at world class level once (agaist Juan Diaz and did well) but again a small guy. Baldomir was limited and more importantly had not fought at a world class level in 3 years. I could go on. Honestly I like the guy, but........ When you think about fighters that are great or even really good, they need to be special at some things. Right? Does SA have world class power? Really? NO, you know that's right. Speed? Chin? Techninal boxing? He is very good at a lot of things especially for his age. But he is just not what GBP or many fans, including me, want him to be.
Cintron has regressed a lot. He just looks "flat" now, as if there isn't any snap behind his punches and as if he's simply going through the motions. I'm picking Alvarez to win this one, probably by a later round stoppage.
Certainly, Canelo has an abysmal China Chin and is a brutal KO waiting to happen, but Cintron probably isn't the man to do it because he's a mental midget and his Glass Heart will shatter long before Canelo's Glass Jaw.
Hell yeah, he schooled Angulo. I don't think he was motivated lately, and the late form is not enough, but here's the thing: I doubt he's over the hill, and if he does a great camp, that'll be an extremely difficult fight for Canelo. Golden Boy is taking a risk here and I like it.
Anyone can pick apart resumes... you just gotta be drinking a lot of haterade and to dissect his style and pick and choose defects can happen to with a good drink... Canelo 21 and is a prospect/good contender in my eyes just like the rest of 154 **** the BS belt real fans know it was bussiness move to get that reliable Mexican money from boxing fans. Regardless after Canelo kos cintron... more hate will come and faults he made to get to the ko will be dissected and over exxagerrated as always. He can neber get his props. And is one of the most active 154 pounders... 2012 should be canelos year
