agree with most except the latter. i think that cotto can handle boxers better than tito but is not as powerful as tito. cotto is better technically than tito is well as being faster. i reckon that tito's style though was all wrong for cotto

better chin, higher punch output. Tony wins. How many times have you see cotto box and not come foward. half a fight against mosley. Go back and watch his career, i have most of it on dvd if you wanna borrow it. Cotto likes to come foward and fight. First 4 rounds he'll come foward till he realizes that tony aint going nowhere. then he'll get ran down by tony and stopped late in the fight.

Perhaps you should rewatch his fights against Abdullaev, N'dou, & Mosley again.

In each of these fights, he fought off the back foot quite easily with great counterpunching and movement.

Margarito will not get stopped; Cotto will. If you look at the opponents that Margarito has had trouble with in the past it is tall, rangy fighters that can move well. This is no stylistic nightmare for Margarito. He will take this one into the later rounds and win by a stoppage.

 

The antithesis of Joshua Clottey. People said the exact same thing about Mosley before he fought Cotto.

I am inclined to bet more on Margarito stopping Cotto than the other way around.

People are underestimating the size difference between the two, and Margarito's toughness.

A sizable number of posters here will be surprised once Cotto tastes his first defeat.
