Dudes that pressure Pac (even this ancient version) get hurt or knocked down. Can Crawford beat Pac by going to war? Thurman was the most recent guy brave enough to go to war and he took a beating. He thought his size would power through the tiny welterweight from the Philippines.

The Crawford that fought on Saturday gets knocked down and loses on the cards. He looked vulnerable.

Not sure, Crawford has heavy hands and can be relentless. He's wonderfully well rounded and he has great killer instinct to compliment the skillset he has. Pacquiao gets hurt badly once, he's getting put down and out.

Pac's chin is granite. He took massive flush shots from Thurman (who buckled iron-chinned guys like Porter, Thurman, and Guerrero). Pac also ate monster shots from Cotto, Mosley, a 165 pound Margarito, and JMM — a lethal puncher. Of course, that final shot that JMM landed was one in which he had loads of PEDs in his system.

To wit, Floyd was deathly afraid of trading with Pac, but walked down Canelo, Ortiz, Maidana, and Berto.

Mosely ran from Pac, but stood toe to toe with Canelo at 154.

Algieri ran from Pac, but stood toe to toe with Spence.

Matthysse went to war with Danny, Ruslan, and Molina, but tried to box Pac.

EK has slow hands and no special effects and he was finding Crawford with the right hand with alarming ease in the first 4 rounds.

Pac would at MINIMUM drop or badly hurt Crawford if he tried to go to war.

Pac just shut out Broner (something Porter, Mikey, and Maidana couldn't do) and beat the hell out of Thurman.

I've heavily favored Crawford in this matchup. But then again I thought Thurman would be too much for Manny and Manny seemed to handle Thurman fairly easy. At the same time though when Crawford shows vulnerability in the ring he becomes even more dangerous and he isn't going to lose because of his mentality. I still favor Crawford but not as much as I did before Manny beat Thurman.

I can't see Bud winning a slug-out type war with Pac but I cannsee him knocking Pac out if he keeps the fight at his preferred distance and dismantled Pac at range which would keep Pac out of range.

Pac beat the **** out of Thurman rounds 1 through 6 and dropped him in the process. Pac got hit clean a handful of times in the late rounds, but rallied to crush Thurman's ribs and hurt him badly.

8-4 at worst. 9-3 at best. Life and death my ass.

Prior to Bud’s last fight, I would have Bud beating PAC for sure. After Saturday I am not so sure. Why did Bud choose to stand when normally he has excellent movement? That spring in his feet seemed to have diminished, not so much but it was noticeable, to me at least. If this is the sign that Bud is slowing down (30+ btw) then PAC can catch him.

Crawford's not slowing down. He fought that way because he HAD to. EK was outboxing him and even knocked him down.

A decent punching EK had Crawford dazed and knocked him down, in the eyes of everyone watching except the ref. Manny is faster and a better puncher. If Crawford fights the same fight, I think he would have problems. Plus, Manny moves well for his age.

Crawford is a smart fighter and I don’t think he would fight the same way against Pac. I was surprised by his lack of defense in the last fight. He was getting hit by a guy who was much slower. EK is a good puncher but so is Pac. I think EKs gastank let him down in the later rounds. Manny has better stamina and I don’t see Crawford walking him down and taking a chance of getting caught, especially early. Good fight on paper. I like Manny’s chances.

you best me to it. Manny easily won that fight and punished Thurman in the process. Thurman moves better than Crawford and manny had no problem with the style. I was impressed and surprised by how good he looked against a younger guy. Thurman has a much better resume than Crawford. Maybe Crawford is getting rusty from fighting so many cans. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Pac beat him.
