I agree to a certain extent, the most important factor is though that Groves almost got fed his own arse, but it was the way he responded once he got his legs and head back together. Once he had Anderson hurt he went for it.

We've yet to see that from DeGale.

Both fighters' last fights gave us a few answers, but it still leaves a few questions as well.

Doesn't matter, fact of the matter is Warren has allowed it in the past, so there is no reason it can't happen again.

If it doesn't happen then it comes full circle and bites both DeGale and Warren on the arse.

They habent put it up yet though. It's a purse bid. I just think it's a clever game so hayemaker et al can say look at how much we were prepared to put up for this fight, allegedly was not willing to pay that for his boy, he can't have that much confidence etc etc etc, then the fight doesn't happen, and it seems degale and allegedly lose face.
Alledgedly only offered what he thought the fight was worth at the end of the day.
You can't tell me every fight that went to purse bids happened!

Anderson is a far better opponent than Smith? How exactly? Because he gave Groves a tough fight for a few rounds? Or was it another performance that led you to this conclusion?

Degale has got Groves in his pocket. He can take him out now. Of course the fight would make more money and sense a few years down the line, but Groves doesn't know that, and Groves doesn't know how flawed he truly is in his camp. He is not right for the Hayemaker camp, I've said that once and I'll say it again. Degale is in a transition period and he can take out Groves right now. It'll be a little cold considering it could really **** up Groves' growth for the next year or so but it'll do nothing but good things for Degale. There's no reason for him to walk away, if Groves wants it than Degale should take it. I think he should call his bluff.

But this is an interesting situation because we could find out how good Degale is and if Groves is as special as people have made him out to be, especially in his early career.

After pulling out Macklin from the Barker fight, I think Frank better be careful. If he scuppers this one too, I can see the other promoters doing the same back to Frank. It's bad enough we have to suffer this type of **** on the world scene, but lets not have it trickle down to domestic level and create a vacuum.
This is easy money for Frank and he shouldn't let his dislike for Hayemaker get in the way of things.
Rules are rules. He got outbid, get over it and get on with it!

Didnt the sparring session between Degale and Small end up in a mass brawl with both camps joining in?

From what I have seen from both Anderson and Smith in severall fights I feel Anderson is a far superior fighter especially at 168

Small was only just back in the gym and DeGale was getting the better of him, started show boating and taking the ****. So Small came out the next round and started really putting it on him, hurting DeGale. DeGale moaned to Jim McDonnell who said to continue at first but when DeGale started complaining more he got in and tried to stop it and it kicked off a little bit.

when ive told this story before others have come on and said theyve heard that to.

DeGale like things his own way, to be king of the ring. What does he do when Groves clocks him with a solid shot and hurts him, how does he react??

Groves and Degale is a classic situation where a boxers reputation is dramatically altered because of one fight. Despite their previous performances there is still little to choose between them AND theyre both around the same level i.e. British and Commonwealth champs

Anderson is the more powerful fighter sure, a far superior fighter he is not. There is little between them really. If anyone has the edge its Smith, far more experienced and had proved himself over 12 rounds a couple times. Then again I have only see 1 full Anderson fight and that was against Groves, what other Anderson fights have you seen? I'd be interested to see them if he looked impressive.

I think Groves made Anderson look better than he is, Groves defence was pretty appalling in that fight. I think Smith could outbox Anderson at 168.
