What exactly didn't Dempsey prove? -He proved he was the best man in the division when he held the title. -He fought everyone put in front of him as champion. -He proved he could get off the canvas to win a fight. -He proved he had depth to his game and wasn't just a face first brawler. -He proved even as a shopworn fighter ready for retirement that he could still hang with the best in the division. I find it pretty amusing that you managed to downplay Marciano and Dempsey in the same post without having much of anything positive to say about either. Calling Rocky's opposition "decent on film" is a huge slap to the face in boxing. Charles, Moore, and Walcott look amazing on film at and/or around the time that Marciano fought them. Go ahead and check out the countless film studies and tributes to them if you don't believe me. You're more worried about protecting yourself in future arguments than you are about enjoying the sport that it's deluded your posts. God forbid you say Charles, Moore, and Walcott were fantastic fighters.
ummm you do realize Dempsey is bigger than Marciano... Not even going to respond to the rest of your non-sense.
