Can Dubois beat any of these BoxRec top 50 heavies?

Give the kid time. What is he 19 or something like that. Never seen his fight tonite...but he looks like he could potentially beat all on that list giving time and good timing. They,d probably all beat him ATM tho if they we,re fit and not completely shot anyway. Needs development fights. A lot of them. Reckon that could be about his level tho. Beat these guys in tough fights...get cleaned out against Joshua/wilder/ortiz etc. You can't really tell at 19 tho. Watching fury at an younger age you wouldn,t believe he,d beat klitchko.

Think he has potential...needs development fights tho.

 

Dubois didn’t really put a foot wrong tonight and he switched from head to body very well. Not sure what the fuss is, certainly wasn’t “exposed”, he beat the **** out of Little. Maybe his power isn’t as it’s hyped to be but he will develop it over the next few years.

 

Read @Twentyman post about Yarde and it applies to Dubois too. These opponents just aren’t telling us anything about him, we don’t know what level he’s at now or how much capacity he has to improve. The suggestion is they’re both packing glass because they’re constantly in with non punchers or fighters dragged up from lower weights to face them but that isn’t certified. That could merely be Frank being extremely cautious?

I think Helenius would be perfect for him next. Not the biggest of punchers but can punch and fairly tough. But again I think he would take Dubois the distance and Frank doesn’t want that! He wants to feed him KO after KO after KO to get him a pumped up padded record - which doesn’t help the fighter in the long run.

 

If Iike to see him in with Bakole or Yoka by the end of the year.

 

It’s clear to me after last nights performance against Little that Dubois lacks world class power.

If I compare his stoppage of Little to Hrgovic it’s illuminating. Hrgovic wobbles him very badly based off 1 overhand right- that leads to the stoppage as Little was out in his feet.

Dubois landed numerous crisp and clean shots and never had that impact. Also Little was in far better condition against Hrgovic and was more mobile.

Joe Joyce would ice him.

I think Bakole or Nathan Gorman are good tests.

 

Doesn't look as heavy handed as Joyce or Joshua. But he's only 20, and the strength and power could be something that improves when he grows into his frame.

gorman would be a great fight, but perhaps its too soon for that, it becomes a much bigger fight further down the line.

 

I'd expect Dubois to beat all of them tbh.

He was good last night. A mature performance, he didn't rush and showed some great shot selections.

He's not the quickest puncher, mind, and probably doesn't have the AJ/Wilder power in his shots either.

 

A cat could beat Lucas Browne if given the gloves and correct training.

As for the others, I think the stiverne that fought Wilder (the first fight version, not 2.0)..he has a chance. Other than that, none of them beat Dubois.

 

Think people are slightly underating a lot of guys on that list. Yeah a lot are overweight and over the hill but not so over the hill their letting a 19 year old novice clean them out.

Too much experience to let that happen. Would be a case of reading his punches coming ...sneaking their own shots in and slowly wearing him down. If it was a case that dubois could beat them the now...he,d probably be fighting them. There's a reason he's still stuck fighting tom little.

 

If he were to fight Bakole or Gorman next he loses.

 

He is very young and raw for a heavyweight, is good for his age. He should be fighting Lewison, Dave Allen level fighters at moment.
