The Chambers win -- I'm pretty enthusiastic with this development. The only way the HW's are gonna be taken seriously by critics and fans, is if black Americans start to do well again. I want HW boxing to be popular like it used to be. I miss the days when I was a young lad and I could talk to people about all the big HW fights. Nowdays, nobody knows **** about boxing, or cares. With the Chambers win over a good Eastern Euoropean fighter, people here in the U.S. might start to take an interest again.

Bottom line: America desperately needs a black hope to restore interest in HW boxing.

    GO FAST EDDIE GO!!!

People are too excited about one good performance. Lets wait and see if he goes out next time and improves again.

Even if he does, I doubt he has the makings of a champion.

Numer 1?? Why does he have to be black?? The USA had great WHITE champions as well, If other Dempsey or Marciano comes along, Boxing would be back on the map. Same with a other Louis or Ali. Race would not matter in this case.

Number 2, No Chambers is not the savior of the divsion. Right now the Kilts are, like it or not.

Save boxing?, boxing is fine in the US and doesn't require someone to save it. You're obviously referring to the heavyweight division and I can't see Chambers saving anything against either Klitschkos. Chambers should get a shot at fraud Valuev in the US to avoid getting robbed like all Valuev opponents do.

We don't need just a "Black" US HW. He need a good US HW, period. Chambers I'm not sold on yet but he shows promise. The HW situation just isn't filled with highly skilled or exciting fighters which is why no one really takes interest in the Heavyweights anymore. But globally no one has much interest in the HW division. Not just in the US.

No. He doesn't hit hard enough to excite the public's attention.

I think one little thing that the HW division can do is GET IN ****ING SHAPE. No one wants to watch these fat tubs of lard.

Scar I was thinking about this the other day. I believe Valuev has an optional defense next it would be great if he fought Chambers. But, we both know the chances of that are slim and none and slim just left the building.

Valuev will continue to fight other King fighters.
